After last nights performance am going to sub 1godsend and put in another card, not sure what yet though???
I like that idea but there is only 13 creatures???
mana curve looks real good, now with card draw this could be hard to beat!!!
Reckon 2 underworld connections and drop to putrefy for card draw could be a good call to prevent running out of steam mid-game???
been checking this for combos, and kalonian hydra + whip of erebos is an amazing combo, especially if corpsejack is in play:corpsejack menace and whip in playbring kalonian from the graveyard into to play, it'll gain haste and 8 +1/+1 counters.attack with kalonian quadruple the counters on the kalonian it will go in as a one time trampling 32/32!!!
2 thassa would be a good call!!!
all those cards you listed I have so no worries there, reckon with ur mistcutters in the sideboard and some additional tweaking it would be real competitive!!!

you want some counter magic in this so when you go for it you will draw a counter to protect the inevitable kill spell on the maniac!!!
you are right I have been running a similar deck, and as I have played it at fnm's though I have had success the red element has reduced for efficiency!!!
ive been running a very similar deck in standard for a while now, with a lot of success, slowly reduced the amount of red til its a splash, am taking it to a pro tour qualifier this Saturday!!! I don't know how to put links to decks on but feel free to check mine out its called master of the elements!!!

defence of the heart+burning tree emissary great little combo 2 creatures and some extra mana for your next spell!!!
they can get out of hand pretty quick, I played this deck on sunday night in a multi player game and won the game with over 7000 life!!!
