Deck discussion for There is no such thing as magic...just tricks

Please comment. this deck is working really well but would love to improve it. really need some good cards for a sideboard. me and my mates mostly play tribal so any anti tribal cards would be great.

I Dislike Summoner's bane, the manacost is just too big. Phantasmal ragon or Illusionary servant would be better. If you want Control Spells, Sleep is really nice on an illusion deck. Sideboarding clout of the dominus for your lord of the unreal is always a good Idea. Here is my budget Illusion deck I made for a friend, its working pretty good for the price of it.

Against tribal token decks, you might want to sideboard few Echoing Truths

was possibly thinking of spreading seas or unsummon either main deck or sideboard what do you think?

I Dont see why Spreading seas? Unsummon is always nice because of the manacost, but still Id prefer Boomerang throwing opponents lands back, or Into the roil, because of the card advance.

put boomerang in sideboard and added halimar depths as that should work nicely with meloku. and back to prev comment i think phantasmal dragons are too expensive in this deck

It looks good. The basic frame of it is similar to mine, so it should do just fine =P

The trick with Halimar is nice, you could also use things like Lonely Sandbar, where you could return it and use its cycling ability when you need more card drawing than lands =]

nice one dude, never thought of using lonely sandbar lol. im just concerned that having too many lands which come into play tapped (also i dont own any lonely sandbar). but they arent very expensive to buy, will playtest with some proxys. With the current set up its a very fast deck and alot of fun but hopefully it can get even better.

*fanboy moment - i love your sacrifice mono black deck. I play a sacrifice deck using pawn of ulamogs and reassembling skeletons with the beetles, but after seeing yours and how fast it is i've placed an order for some of the cards you use to change my deck so its same as yours lol. I was wandering how it pairs up against merfolk tribal and elf tribal? the main guy i play with using those decks and they are very fast with regular turn 4 wins and my sacrifice just insn't fast enough and i would love to play him with the improved sacrifice and see his face drop lol.

This is a nice looking Illusion deck. Mine isn't all that different but I have tried out a few different things. Personally I like using Stifle or Trickbind to save my creatures from being sacrificed as a result of being targeted. They are also great cards against many other types of threats. I have also experimented with giving illusions flash.
Also Vapor snag is better than unsummon for your sideboard.

Good luck with your deck. Take a look at my deck if you like. Comments are appreciated.
