Deck Description

built this boy back in late 2018 early 2019 for a world before the world wide panini. feels outdated at this point, lurrus, I know is powerful coming out the board but would require some restructuring. its synergy with cards like snapcaster and kroaxa. are powerful and known to me. i just don't have any of the titan. I love the card bitterblossom and maybe could even be good with meathook massacre. i would also like to keep the faeries theme, i thought about jace, vyrn prodogy as a role player even with lurrus. search for azanta was a thought for a bit as it was in the deck box. and is damping sphere even a card wanted here. priest of forgotten gods looks fun also. please let me know you think.

How to Play

tempo style control deck that is incredily outdated and looking to update.

Deck discussion for grixis fae

I am not used to the red splash, but with regular ub faeries I recently had some success. The deck is suprisingly good positioned right now. Since most spells are that cheap, spellstutter really shows. Then control them with discard and countermagic and kill them with manlands.

So no big update needed, just with a little tweaking I think you are good to go.
Feel free to take a look at my list for comparison.

I absolutely love this idea and this build, let me ponder (I wish) for a bit about updates.

In some cases spell pierce will be better than spell snare... so whats your point?
Regarding snapcaster, you described what people call sideboarding.
Im sure they know about their snapcasters.
Is this another gibberish post, or do you actually have to say something?

Without building a whole new deck I'd start with cutting Red, your mana is very clunky with all those tap lands and Mutavault in a 3 color deck. Modern is super fast right now and missing on a color for a turn is almost like being timewalked. Black can take over as the cheap removal color.
Not playing 4 Counterspell in a control deck is also just wrong, put them in immediately! :)
You also need a top end better then Mistbind. Murktide Regent seems like a natural fit. Baby Jace is a trap, "everyody" is playing 1 mana removal nowadays because of the monkey and DRC so he'll just turn on your opponents removal.
Spell Pierce SB is excellent now because of cascade decks and othr Tapout strategies.
Just my 2 cents.
