Monoblack Devotion splashing green. The green gives us access to abrupt decay which is amazing in modern. Bitterblossom was originally in this deck but it does not do enough in this deck to warrant its use. Cutting it allowed us to run more removal and not be just dead to zoo. Also get to run gatekeeper which is amazing against all the aggro decks. Green gives us extra options in our sideboard with affinity and token decks. Drown in sorrow replaces infest in the sideboard thanks BNG!
Similar to the standard version this deck relies on you playing powerful high devotion threats. Unlike standard though we have arena, obliterator, and liliana that greatly increase the power of this deck. This is an attrition deck that wins through card advantage and playing haymakers to end the game. It attacks in several angles and some of the threats cannot be killed. Even with deathrite gone this deck is still high powered.
