Tezzeret is by far my favorite planeswalker, so I've really tried to make him work in modern.I experimented with a number of Tezzeret lists and was dissatisfied with many of them. The controlling versions were just worse at control than other control decks like Jeskai/Grixis/UW, and the combo version was too soft to hate and didn't even win on the spot if assembled. Further, the combo pieces are terrible on their own. I like this iteration because it has an easier time winning through stony silence and other artifact hate and doesn't care about graveyard hate. I'm not running thopter/sword combo because it gets destroyed by both main-deck graveyard hate (relic, spellbomb, scooze) and artifact hate (K-command, abrupt decay). This deck doesn't really care if its artifacts die or can't be activated. It can still easily burn out an opponent with blasts, and still can beat down with Ensoul and Tezzeret.
