Deck discussion for Tragic Draw: (Legacy:)

I like Call to Heel and Plumeveil. The Wall of Bone is a good idea with the one mana regen cost. And Temporal Mastery can be a killer if you hold the right cards in your hand. I like it.

you only have 9 lands that produce black. you will basically never be able to play underworld dreams in time for it to matter

yeah, because Dark Ritual doesnt make black mana or anything, right? right?

still need a swamp to play it, and underworld dreams in hand, and dark ritual. right? right? your consistency wont be very good. right? right?

plus you only have a few other targets that dark ritual could even help with, making it essentially a dead draw unless you get specific cards. just decreasing that consistency

its basically a combo deck. do you tell all the turn 1 legacy winners that they shouldnt run something because theres only 4 of it in the deck? no. you dont know much about mana curves, do you?

Black mana from dark ritual can be used for colorless man...It helps things like (turn 2 wheel and deal) (turn 1 Underworld dreams) (turn 2 Teferi's Puzzle Box) (Turn 2 Whip.) (turn 4 temporal mastery if i had to play it out of hand.) These are just some. I like it man. :)

people in legacy that run turn 1 stuff do it to actually affect the game early, like thoughtseize, ponder, or the top. you are playing a combo deck with no way to find the combo

Hey I never said this deck was for competitive play. Yes I agree with you that I would be difficult to win against something like those or reanimate decks. :)

you have legacy in the title, making me think that you intend to play it in legacy, not casually

lol...the title of HIS deck doesnt matter. it is only legacy or casual legal, so he called it legacy to get views. no one looks at casual decks, everyone looks at legacy ones. no one cares that YOU think he intends to play it in legacy, which, FYI can also be played casually. get off the dudes nuts. the deck is fine.

wow, what a little bitch. the title of his deck gives the impression that he intends to play it in legacy, so I gave constructive criticism to help him play it in legacy. if he had labeled it casual, or indicated in any way that it was casual, then I would have made different comments. as im sure you are aware, the game is completely different based on where you play it, so giving me shit for analyzing his build in the format he indicated is both illogical and childish

you did not give him constructive criticism, you told him his deck doesnt work, and it works fine. I must be the childish one, since im the one in here namecalling, right? lol

and I referenced legacy turn one win decks and you respond with thoughtseize? tell me, how does thoughtseize win on turn 1? at least this deck has potential to be dealing damage on opponent turn 1.

I just dont think you know what youre talking about.

I am fine with your constructive criticism. Thank you actually I made a few changes to it. You guys need to kiss and make up though. XD And dknight27 look at my other decks I have many others that you may like that are for competitive play. ;D

It could use some more mana.

My magic deck formula is:

70 cards:
30 mana
20 creatures
10 instants/artifacts
10 sorceries/enchantments

Works like a charm, if you need to play around with the makeup :D

That is the first time I have ever heard that. XD But now I want to try it. ;)

you dont ever want to go above 60 cards for consistency purposes.

Thank you. I'm new to mtg vault, and I want to get back into magic.
Sometimes though, I've built decks using this that inexplicably DONT WORK. I spent forever trying to find out what was wrong with my Manipulation Alpha Prototype (MAP) and the format COULD BE THE PROBLEM. Not all decks, though. My boros worked fine.

I'm blind tonight. What's the win con? Drawing is all cool but a psychosis crawler would be awesome in here :)

Read Underworld Dreams.......and ya Crawlers could b cool. :)

Wow I need to stop reading decks and leaving comments at like 2am. Thanks for pointing that out :)

And I was thinking of making a crawler deck to torment my friends so he quickly came to mind.

I like the deck. The triple black in the win con is a bit of a pain but its nothing that ritual cant get around. Plus you have plenty of draw to get to those pieces so getting them shouldn't be a problem.

http://www.mtgvault.com/clawzizking/decks/drawn-to-death/

I'm lost on this one. Its similar only in this case I win by my drawing.
