Creatures (4)

Sorceries (2)

Instants (8)

Enchantments (1)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Was initially conceived when Innistrad came out hence the large amount of cards from that block. Tweaked slightly and added a sideboard. I enjoy it. Can get quite aggressive.

Deck discussion for VAMP.a

Some suggestions, based on my own B/R vampire deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/muktol/decks/br-tribal-vampire/)
I would remove "Captivating Vampire", "Falkenrath Marauders" and "Markov Blademaster" and add 2 "Stromkirk Captain", 2 "Vampire Nighthawk" and 1-2 "Olivia Voldaren" or 1-2 "Vampire Nocturnus" instead.
"Akoum Refuge" could be replaced with the new 'Scry'-Land "Temple of Malice"
I would also try to add some carddraw, e.g. "Read the Bones" ({2}{B}, loose 2 life; Scry 2 then draw 2 cards) or "Sign in Blood" ({B}{B}; target player draws two cards and looses 2 life)

Greetings
Muktol

Not so sure on "vampire nocturnus"... with the affinity this has to black, maybe if this was a mono black vamp deck then deffo! I agree on the "Stromkirk captain" front and the "vampire nighthawk" and the lands!

1 Nocturnus combined with some Scry effects can be rather deadly, even in a B/R deck.
If you want to play with many counters you could take a look at "Bloodlord of Vaasgoth" ({3}{B}{B}; 3/3; flying; Bloodthirst 3 (If an opponent was dealt damage this turn, this creature enters the battlefield with three +1/+1 counters on it.); Whenever you cast a Vampire creature spell, it gains bloodthirst 3.)

My sugestion,

remove Contagion Clasp, Shrine of Burning Rage - add blade of bloodchief.
remove Rakish Heir - add Guul Draz Assassin or pulse tracker or Stromkirk Noble. You have to low 1 mana creatures.
remove some Volt Charge or lightning bolt and try add urge to fead, it is amazing spell for vamp deck.

And Gatekeeper of malakir is also amazing

You may look at may vamp deck for some inspiration

The Gatekeeper is amazing, but rather unsoppurtable in a B/R deck with tripple {B} in it's costs.

d4rkcell - I didnĀ“t saw him, sorry. It was only some advice based on my own vamp deck and experiences to play with it.

Muktol - yep, thats true. But depends on mana base :-) In my B/R vamp deck gatekeeper works very nice :-)

I think I should perhaps take out the 2 curse of stalked prey and replace with something like Quag Vampires or Viscera Seer, What do you think?

Quag Vampire is not bad, but you need some cards, which you can put on the table in first turn. 2 aditional mana for kick is too much and you have better creatures for 3 mana (nighthawk, captain...). For Viscera Seer you must sacrifice creature. Which creature you want to sacrifice ? All creatures you have, are better than this ability and it will be wasting to sacrafice these creatures.

Pulse tracker, Guul Draz Vampire will be better choice.
And try to think of blade of bloodchief, for each dead creature on the table, you have +2/+2

The Problem I see with "Guul Draz Vampire" is that they are a 1/1 for 1...and nothing more, untill you allready are on the way of winning the game. Personally I use "Guul Draz Assassin", but only as "Lighning Bolt" No3 and 4.
As for removing "Curse of stalked Prey", I would decide either to use the curse or "Rakish Heir", each has it advantages. The curse is harder to remove, the Heir gives you an additional blocker. But 4 cards with this effect should be enough.
If you want to try one of the 2 cards, I would give "Viscera Seer" a try. When your opponent wants to destroy one of your creatures, you can always sacrfice it and scry 1...better than loose a creature and do nothing.
I would do some testgames to see what works for you, and what doesn't. Always the easiest (and most of the time the funniest) way to get a deck right :)
Oh, and you could add some deck tags to your deck, so that others might find this one more easy.

I am going to playtest a few changes i think. I see Quag vampires as a good card merely for its swampwalk ability and its 1B, the added bonus is the multikicker if i get it in the late game it can be better and the counters work well with the concept of the deck which is to beef up them vamps with plenty counters! Might be more of a sideboard card though. The Viscera seer i see me using it to block and then sac it to scry. If nothing else it protects me and gives me the scry. For me a one drop creature is never going to be better than Hedron Crab in blue mill or stromkirk noble in this type of deck. Unless someone out there knows something i dont?

More cc1 spells enable you to make sure you can play something in T1, and/ or T2. From that point of view its quite important to have a good mana-curve, otherwise your opponent could overrun you, while you still wait for your mana. But the cards shoudln't be total useless if you draw one of them later on. So the two primal question you should ask yourself if you have a cc1 card infront of you are: "Does it fit and support my strategy" and "Does it have any use if I draw it e.g. T5" if you can answer both questions with yes, its worth taking a look at that card.
Hope I got the right answer to your question. ;)

Thanks for all the suggestions! Decided to fiddle the land, it occurred to me that this deck was now leaning further towards black than red which when I first thought this up back when innistrad came out it was mostly red. Decided the Viscera Seer was a good choice 1 drop also going to make room in my sideboard for quad vampires and conidering adding some more red DD such as shock.
