After playing the first version of this deck about 20 times, I realized how bogged down it got in the early-mid game. So I set out to make a faster deck. Those of you building similar decks have to beware Radkos Guild decks and Izzet Guild decks. They have the ability to out race you. The sideboard is designed to deal with some of the things that those decks can pull off. As much as I would love to run both Thragtusks and Armada Wurms, it just bogs down the deck. Even with the mana ramp, I was still struggling a little more than I could accept. Rootborn Defenses is pretty good, but having Garruk in the deck adds another token producer and provides MUCH needed card advantage. Depending on how this does at FNM tonight, I may change the sideboard to include Aerial Predation.
