Alesha, Who smiles at combos

Main Deck (99 cards)

Sideboard (1 card)

Creatures (1)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Trying to build a mini token / creature/sacrificing/reanimator alesha deck. I just keep adding cards when I think of them. Eventually I will build this list. Suggestions welcome. I am trying to make this somewhat budget. I have most of the expensive cards in this list like elesh norn, kiki, etc

How to Play

I want to have lots of synergy with sacrificing tokens and creatures to bring them back with alesha for #value. I'm looking for cards like master of cruelties, ankle shanker and archetype of finality which make my dudes attacking much scarier than they normally would be. Again suggestions are welcome.

Deck discussion for Alesha, Who smiles at combos

In my mind to make Alesha amazing for EDH, you need creatures to abuse with her ability, stuff like Avalanche Rider, Karmic Guide etc. Things that if they are constantly being moved around become insane. For your sac outlets, I wouldn't want creatures alot, and if creatures, cheap with good effect, Viscera Seer being a good one, being able to constantly generate value.

If there are combos open to you, I would put them in here. Kiki-Jiki + Restoration Angel/ Village Bell-Ringer, or Sac Outlet + Anafenza + Murderous Redcap. All of which can be put together via Tutors to kill outright.

Another good kill value card to add would be Blood Artist also, to abuse the sac part of this deck.

Definetely looking solid, these are the only cards I don't like:
Grenzo, just doesn't feel like a deck you can really get a ton out of him with, since when you recur him, you won't actually get value. He's a better commander then a part of the 99.
Butcher Of The Horde, Just a fatty that is a sac outlet that can be killed but not recurred.
Ankle Shanker, His ability won't trigger when attacking with Alesha's ability, as it triggers when he attacks, not when he is already attacking.
Vish Kal, Same story as Butcher
Puppeteer, cool guy, but not 100% sure why he's here.

Thanks ill make some adjustments however to answer you I like butcher just because hes a free sac outlet and kinda fits the style of the deck. Vish Kal has a neat interaction with reveillark and karmic guide making him as huge as i want and swing in for a bunch of life. Puppeteer clique came to mind when you mentioned redcap, the same combo applies with the puppeteer, however late game it can be game ending and its an added bonus that he exiles the creatures he recurs acting as a pseudo graveyard hate.

I agree with TheBear, you need some serious abusing. While he's not a "Power 2 or less", since you have some cards with activated abilities, I would consider Gustcloak Savior. He'll save your cards like Kik-Jiki that'll be forced to attack by Alesha's ability, and even give you some more utility. Since you also have little in the way of artifact/enchantment hate, you might want some guys like the War Priest of Thune , Duergar Hedge-Mage, Reliquary Monk, or Soltari Visionary.

By the name of your deck, & Alesha being in the SB, I'm inferring that Alesha is intended as your Commander...? Alesha can't be the Commander of this deck, as it's RWB, & Alesha is mono-R. Sorry I didn't look at your deck in detail, but that just killed it for me...if I inferred incorrectly, by all means, clarify. Otherwise, find a legendary RWB creature to use instead of Alesha, & you'll probably be straight...those colors are really strong as a general rule (no pun intended :D). BTW, I see where you've built other EDH decks, so I'm really at a total loss here...explanations, please, sir.

Alesha is a legal commander because her abilities are W/B. When it comes to commanders it refers to the colors on the entirety of the card, for example. Memnarch is a "Blue" commander, because he has a blue activation cost. The same for Bosh, Iron Golem, where he's actually a "Red" commander for his Red cost in his activation.

Your completely right, & I even knew that...I didn't look at the card closely enough. Thanks for getting back!
