I've been using this deck on and off for a while now. It's often slow in the begining, but the lifegain often makes up for that.

Immerwolf + Huntmaster = bad idea.
Huntmaster wats to transform a lot, Immerwolf stops that.

A friend runs a Niv + Curiosity deck too. He uses Howling Mine and Teferi's Puzzle Box. But instead of relying solely on the Niv combo, he also uses Cerebral Vortex.

In all honesty, I loosly based this off a friend's UB Rogue deck, I was just curious how it'd run if mono black.

Another arifact you could use is Sculpting Steel.

Our Overlord has considered adding Suture Priests, but she's unsure. Her Goatness feels that Growing Ranks is too reliant on tokens already being out, so maybe they can be replaced by the Priests?

Hate to be the one that points this out, but Stoneforge Mystic is on the Modern banned list.

To answer your questin about the Swords being overpowered. I don't think they are. Without a creature to attach them to, the Swords are useless. So when playing against a sword heave deck, all you need to do is time your removal spells correctly.

Clifftop Retreat?

I've always thought that Seizan, Perverter of Truth was a nice addition to any Underworld Dreams type deck.

Elves of Deep Shadow is very flavourful, but the life loss has always been a point that made me exclude it in my tournament decks...

It's my favourite 2 colours to put together :D

Thanks for the comment. The reason I'm using 22 lands is that I've had problems more often than not while running 20 :|
I got a set of Ezuri and am contemplating dropping the Gilt-Leaf Ambushs for them...
