Deck Description

I like the idea of Populate, but I find there's two major problems running a Populate deck:

1) No token creatures to Populate
OR
2) Tokens available are not worth Populating.

This deck is an attempt to make decent sized tokens (3/3's and 5/5's) that can be there reliably for Population.

How to Play

Make Tokens.
Duplicate Tokens.
....
Profit?

It's difficult to balance token production with token duplication. I should have enough production in here to have at least one target for duplication.

Kazandu Tuskcaller requires a little investment, but becomes a constant supply of 3/3 Elephant tokens. Level two should be enough. Level six is just being greedy.

There's a fun little interaction with Ooze Garden and Intangible Virtue. Intangible Virtue boosts the power of a token. Ooze Garden checks the power of the non-ooze as it last was on the battlefield. This results in you actually getting a bigger creature than the one sacrificed.

Deck discussion for Create, Duplicate.

I love populate token decks. A few other ideas for populate cards might be "Second Harvest" or "Parallel Lives".

Them and Doubling Season are great cards, but often, one is strapped for space.
