Deck Description

Main idea: Sacrifice recurring creatures (Bloodghast and Nether Traitor) to Thoughtpicker Witch and control the opponent's draws.

Other small things:
-Sacrificing all creatures before Living End triggers will result in all my creatures coming back into play.
-Pawn of Ulamog creates extra sacrifice material for Thoughtpicker Witch.
-Big Game Hunter can be cast for its madness cost off of smallpox.
-All sacrifices multiply Bitter Ordeal's effectiveness.

This is meant to be Modern legal, so please keep suggestions Modern.

*EDIT
Moved Big Game Hunter to Sideboard and added Grave Pact.

*EDIT2
-6x Swamp
+4x Verdant Catacombs
+2x Marsh Flats
The fetch lands + Crucible of Worlds allows for fun interactions between Bloodghast and Thoughtpicker Witch :)

Deck discussion for Thought Picking

Leave it to you to design a Thoughtpick Rogues Extraction deck without any rogues =P

I like the layout, and the constant sacrifices will allow you to manipulate the opponent's topdecks to an obnoxious degree. I personally don't like the big game hunter, though. Sure the madness cost thing is nice, but if you need to pop a smallpox to do it, then the opponent is already down creatures and you may end up screwing yourself. I might add earwig squad back in here in their place, or you could also put in grave pact and just control the board =]

Hope that helps dude =]

Thanks for taking a look. I can't belive I forgot Gravepact 0.0 I'd like to keep the Hunter, but I'm OK with moving him to sideboard. Earwig is just a big creaure without the prowl, so I won't be adding him. Any other ideas?

The only other thing I would change is the land-base, but that would also add a lot to the price, so that's not a big deal.

What lands would you use (keep in mind I want this Modern legal) ? I'm thinking maybe Verdant Catacombs for deck thinning, but can't think of much else.

Oh right...modern -_-

Well even so I would definitely put in some fetches. With crucible and fetches you can do some stupid crap with bloodghast

Do you not like Modern? I've been enjoying it lately (my group only plays it once a month). I think it mite be because most (99.9%) of my collection is 8th Ed onwards :p

How many fetches do you think? I'm thinking max 4, because more mite be unbalanced.

I really don't like modern, no. But...that's a topic for another day =]

I would go with 6 personally, I think that would compliment the deck perfectly =]
