Ok not bad, I'd say you should get a sideboard up for this and maybe tweak the creatures a bit. Not liking Impersonator, Elder, or Cruise in this deck. They just aren't good if you're trying for fast. I'd say dump them and 1 land and run 4 Eidolon, 4 Ajani's Presence and 4 Stratus Walk instead. Oh and cut the Ordeals completely, run 4 Battlewise Hoplites' instead.

Waves is only a really good option if you're running Pearl Lake Ancient cause it doesn't get bounced by it and lets you attack unblocked.

Elspeth just isn't good in the current standard, she's too slow, easily dealt with and basically if you rely on her to win you're in serious trouble. One of in the board maybe, but would strongly recommend against main boarding any.

@Maumau17 good catch in the Thoughtseize I missed the lack of them, definitely a 3-4 of. Also thanks for deleting my comment about the other stuff you might want. WTF!

Well your sideboard is illegal at 20 cards. Limit is 15.

Just heads up this isn't standard legal, Return to Ravnica block and Magic 2014 cycled out of standard on the 26th.

This deck is gonna be very very slow, you should probably have some 1 drops main board I'd recommend the Thoughtseize. Otherwise your removal is clunky and your gonna have trouble with being able to respond to aggro deck dropping 2-4 creatures a turn on you. Invest in some cheap fast removal. I'd recommend Pharika's Cure, Magma Spray, or Last Breath as good options. Since the sheep are great blockers but you can't do much if they're swinging with 4-6 creatures and you've got 1 sheep out.

The only real win condition in this deck is normal damage based, yes you've got Elspeth's token based win but that's still a damage based win condition. Nothing really to compete with a slow control deck trying to get a win right at time. Nothing to deal with a mill control deck either, and you're going to lose fast to a low creature count removal based deck. It's a decent midrange deck though.

Nice though I'd suggest running Boros Reckoner, and maybe keeping a couple Flamespeakers Will on the sideboard. Otherwise doesn't look bad.

Yeah it does but with that fun bonus of reducing strive cost as well. But still 7 things like that seems a bit heavy. I'd say running 3 of each or 4 of one and 2 of another makes more sense. Not like anything in here costs 7+

Yeah but don't wanna do it on more than 2 otherwise you're risking major life if you get a bad draw.

Yeah and in standard they're are only like 2-3 cards that can kill planeswalkers once they're in play.

Thought of running Tormented Thoughts? Really nasty with the right deck.

I'd still say drop the Heralds or only run two of Herald, Fate Unraveler, and Master. Also 3 Hall of Triumph isn't a good idea cause it's a legendary so if you've got 3 that's just 2 pointless cards if you have on out. I'd suggest running 2 of that as well.

Much better, 24 for a 3+ only curve is good.

Yeah I do have methods for if he gets disabled without being exiled. Tormented Thoughts is great in that situation. Sacrifice the disabled Master and the opponent discards 5 cards.

I like Claim of Erebos on Inspired creatures.

Yeah Gnarled Scarhide is a great one drop, Spiteful Returned is an amazing two drop creature. I'd say the Heralds are redundant since you're running Master of the Feast. Check out my standard tournament deck I've got posted. It started as something similar to this and evolved into a nasty very traditional Suicide Black deck.

You're definitely going to need more lands, with that curve you're going to get mana screwed a lot by running only 18 lands.

Not bad, reminds me of my deck a couple months ago before modification from play testing. I found that I needed both heavy aggro and major removal and discard ability. Considered Master of the Feast instead of Herald?
