Deck Description

Standard pod deck with the splinter twin/deceiver exarch combo thrown in for good measure. Splinter twin could also be used to make copies that could be sacrificed to the pod if I want to keep a creature around. This could get pretty nasty, if you have the right creatures out on the field. Notably you can sac wurmcoil engine, get the tokens and search for furyborn hellkite (if you've already done damage that turn). Asceticism is there to make it that much harder for your opponent to deal with your big guys. Thoughts?

*just realized you can use deceiver exarch to untap the pod and use it twice in one turn :D

Deck discussion for Splinter Pod

Sea-gate oracle and Frost and Inferno titan I like the hellkite idea but not Elesh Norn. I know you have birds and the pod but double white is still a dumb idea. Plus the titans will win the game for you by themselves. Also, you need a better 4 drop than the exarch. And this deck mains at least two acidic slimes as the 5 drop, then sac the slime to go to the titans. And make a sideboard the includes pyroclasm.

You got the basic idea down but now its time for the fine tuning.

a lot of big guys that can come out whenever = good
one off's of a lot of big guys in the current metagame = inconsistent
More of whatever is really good like hellkite is a must, imagine a lot of 12/12's?
and having more urabrasks in the deck makes the hellkite a beast, expecially since it cant be countered.

thing is, i dont want lots of big guys or else they will just sit in my hand. I want them in my deck so I can search for them with the pod. I do agree with having more urabrasks, however.

What about lotus cobra or phyrexian metamorph for this deck?

lotus cobra would be really good, but its rotating out in september. you could try it if you want to until then. I like phantasmal image better than the metamorph. even though it has the illusion drawback, its a good two drop filler.
