Deck Description

Work in progress.

Straightforward Madness Aggro splashed white for Sorin.

Will be playing at FNM and LGS Game Day this weekend (4/29-4/30)

I have been busy since SOI dropped so I haven't gotten a first hand feel for what Standard Meta is like (I've watched various events and read articles and deck techs to compensate for this).

Any help by way of comments would be appreciated.

Deck discussion for Mardu Madness

If you're splashing white, you may as well include Nahiri. Her [+2] is a loot effect, allowing you to Madness every turn, though only at sorcery speed.

Considered Nahiri but I feel like I'd have to run at least 3 of. She is an early game threat. I've already got madness outlets in Olivia, Lightning Axe, Insolent Neonate, and Heir of Falkenreath. Neonate and Heir both can be activated instant speed which I think opens up possibilities. I am worried that madness decks are burning through their hands and it is for this reason I didn't bring Nahiri on (a shame since I pulled a playset). It is with this same logic (hand depleted by turn 5-6 even sooner if rolling) that I included Sorin. I feel that with Neonate I can get some early-mid game draw to help establish presence and Sorin and Asylum Visitor to feed the mid-late game and seal the win. It is also because of Asylum Visitor that I have a playset of Alms of the Vein (beyond that its a one drop madness that if all play successful I only have to swing in with 8 damage).

I'm considering an all white sideboard with a bunch of removal. Make black a splash color game 2 if I need a more controlled approach. But I really don't know if that would fair well because this deck is meant to play up tempo. Other than an all white sideboard to completely change things up for my opponent the only thing else I could do would be to run some pump combo instant or enchantments.
