New 5-color EDH deck with Horde of Notions (HON) as the commander. The deck was designed around HON, although playing with it is not mandatory for winning. It's a tribal list focusing on the synergies between elementals and several cards that support them. Main wincon is Maelstrom Wanderer into giant creatures and/or other bombs in the list. There's plenty of mana ramp to ensure an adequate supply for constantly presenting threats to your opponent(s). My typical game types are multiplayer with planechase. I do realize that I have access to every card in Magic but I've got a few ground rules for making suggestions: I am not playing cards banned in EDH and I am not spending the money on things like dual lands.Change log:5/22/16: First draft completed and uploaded to MTG Vault5/28/16: Cut Roil Elemental and Coalition Relic for Chord of Calling and Crackling Doom.6/3/16: Cut Fusion Elemental for Torrent Elemental6/4/16: Cut Wrath of God for Supreme Verdict6/5/16: Cut Petrified Woodkin, Vigor, Tyrant of Discord, and Commander's Sphere for Greenwarden of Murasa, Akroma's Memorial, Hateflayer, and Elemental Bond.6/5/16: Cut Celestial Colonnade, Flagstones of Trokair, and Fire-Lit Thicket for basic lands.6/11/16: Cut basic lands for Forbidden Orchard and Misty Rainforest7/15/16: Cut Whisperwood Elemental, Nameless Inversion, Utter End, Hull Breach, Domri Rade, Hateflayer, and Call to the Kindred for Malignus, Eladamri's Call, Birthing Pod, Bloom Tender, Krosan Grip, Grave Sifter, and Oracle of Mul Daya7/17/16: Cut Mortify for Vindicate
Play HON and other elementals. Win via combat/commander damage. Assuming you don't need answers for any degenerate nonsense your opponents are doing, tutors are for Maelstrom Wanderer or Maelstrom Nexus most of the time. If you already have those, just go for something big and scary. Crib Swap and Nameless Inversion are a bit busted with HON as commander, because for a little extra mana than their CMC's they can be cast ad infinitum from the graveyard. Note that both of these cards have Changeling, so they are elementals and HON can interact with them. Other than that the deck is pretty straightforward; just do what makes sense for each situation. Should HON be destroyed/exiled so many times you can't get it back and Command Beacon isn't available, I've found the deck still doesn't have too much trouble being a big threat without him. Omnath and Titania put together do dirty things and Maelstrom Wanderer on his own is a beast.
