Deck discussion for spirit/hexproof deck

I played a deck similar to this when I started playing. I called it Hexblade, although there were a lot of differences. The basics around that were, attach Sword of Feast and Famine to an unblockable creature and swing, get your mana untapped. Play more dudes and other things. You have A LOT of high CMC creatures which you're going to be tapping out for in more cases than none. There is a lot of slimming down you could do to make this deck perform faster. I remember I liked the appeal of Battleground Geist and Gallows Warden at first glance. But their cost outweighs their usefulness. A majority of artifacts and enchantments will be cheaper to play, and give your creatures and bigger boost then your Gallows Warden and Battleground Geist combo. Spectral Flight for instance, gives target creature +2/+2 and flying while enchanted. Same with Angel of Flight Alabaster, could replace that card with Sun Titan and get a lot more use out of it than you would your angel.

Also look into Geist of Saint Traft, a 3 drop 1,1U, 1W for a 2/2 hexproof spirit cleric, that summons a tapped and attack angel to the battlefield whenever it attacks for the turn. Also a cheaper option compared to latch Seeker is Invisible Stalker, two drop hexproof unblockable 1/1, though he is not a spirit.

Other lands you might want to consider, Hallowed Fountain, Seachrome Coast. Both tap for blue and white mana. They are a little on the pricey end but are good lands.

Overall this seems like a cheaper and more expensive (casting wise) to the Illusion decks that were big in standard during the Innistrad block. Look into those if you haven't already for some inspiration to make your deck better. The gist of the Illusion decks were you played cheap creatures like Phantasmal Bear, made them Hexproof with Lord of Illusion, copied Lord of Illusion with Phantasmal Image = hexproof dudes. They also ran Delver of Secrets because they were control decks and had a lot of instants and sorceries. Like I said A TON of ways you could make your deck's mana curve go down. Also slim down to 60 cards, decks with 60 cards perform best just because you don't spend turns sitting there hoping for an answer to a threat drawing through another 10 cards. Especially since you aren't running any draw cards when you're in blue. Think Twice, Ponder, Brainstorm, Preordain are all options. I get the idea of whats going on behind your deck, but with all the big dudes in your deck you're going to be sitting on them for AWHILE and with only 15 lands. You might want to talk to some friends about deck building.

The correct name of the "Lord of Illusion" card I named in my previous comment is Lord of the Unreal.

Here's what I was talking about:

This deck is a crap ton more expensive money wise but much more competitive and should yield better results faster than what you have there.

Would love to throw in two Slaughter Games, naming Spirit of the Hearth and Drogskol Captain.
Sorry. I had to say that. : )
