Play magic with one of my friends this weekend. Was worried about him only playing with other standard decks, but found out he doesn't care. He plays by legacy rules. So i like Tyler1024 Spore Assassin Deck and wanted to make some changes. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. I would say a perfect hand would be:birds utopia mycon paradox haze island forest forest doubling season followed by drawing Mycoloth. 1st forest down and cast utopia mycon 2nd mycon get 1 counter (1 total); drop island; cast birds 3rd mycon get 1 counter (2 total); drop frost; cast haze 4th mycon gets 2 counter (1 total); get 1/1; sac 1/1; cast doubling season 5th mycon gets 4 counters (2 total); get 1/1; sac 1/1; cast mycoloth (sac birds and mycon to it to get 8 counters on it OR only sac birds to get 4 counters on it) 6th and on get 32 1/1 OR 18 1/1 which you can sac for any color mana (oh don't forget about the 12/12 or 8/8 mycoloth you have)

Thanks dedwards i thought that i had sporesower in there. Utopia is great for this deck too. The only problem i see is the mana. Before i can get out the good guys, it will be a couple turns. I am 4 cards over which isn't that bad but anyone think of something to take out? Here are the cards that i think i need 4 of: Utopia Mycon (mana issues) Birds (mana issues) Thallid Shell-Dweller (will be a good blocker) Mycoloth (what this deck is based around) Psychotrope thallid (get threw your deck quicker, might drop this to 3 though) Tukatongue Thallid (for 1 green this will be a great card) Doubling Season (get counters quicker) Paradox Haze (get counters quicker, but thinking about taking out, only blue card)

I run this same deck, and I know for a fact Birds of Paradise, Thallid Shell-Dweller, Thallid and Tukatongue Thallid are wasted space. I'd replace them with with Thellon of Havenwood, Pallid Mycoderm (a MUCH better version of Thallid Germinator), Savage Thallid, and some ways to give your creatures trample. The basic idea is to maximize your options with the Saprolings. There really isn't any reason to waste a drop on a Fungus that can't utilize the Saprolings he can make.
Also, you got your perfect game wrong. You get 2 tokens 5th turn, not 1. But why sac those 32 1/1's for mana when, with Pallid Mycoderm you can give all your creatures +32/+32?
i like this deck i run one alot like it one thing i would add would be soul's might for 5 mana you can over double mycloths counters and maybe gilder brain
cool guys thanks for the input. @Roughneck, do you have any problems with mana? This is why i put the birds in. Thanks for the correction on turn 5, i remembered to double the counters on the creature, but not double the when you change them to 1/1. @knight-mair, i forgot about soul's might. I would probably put that in as a side board. The Gilder brain would be a great card for this deck. I didn't even know about this card thanks. I'll take a better look at what everyone said and make a version 2 tomorrow. Thanks again
Shoot i re-read gilder brain and saw that it was an untap event. Any card that can combo with it?
Not really, but I run 3 Terramorhpic Expanse (haven't ever needed it, really) and 3 Fertile Ground (again, haven't needed it. Utopia Mycon is ass the mana fix I seem to need. Selesnya Evangel will work with Gilder Bairn, but I don't think you need it. Boomerang would be WAY easier and give you more options (as in Boomerang the Mycoloth back to your hand and devour 100 creatures instead of 2...), but, again, I don't think you need it. Especially if you're playing 1 on 1. I play mine in 3-5 player free for all and have NO trouble swarming them with saprolings thanks to Pallid Mycoderm (I can't stress enough how awesome he is).
I see a problem with fighting black decks, if they make you sacrifice a creature, or destroy target creature, it may interrupt your buildup for mycoloth. spore decks aren't really a 1 on 1 kind of deck unless you are playing another slow ramp deck. My first deck was a spore deck, and I kept adding to it and modifying it over the years and now it's come to this. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=341663 blood artist + essence warden + spore deck is kind of broken in multiplayer, and deathspore just makes it mean. @RoughneckBarbarian, boomerang sounds like a really nice idea, may have to put that in.
