Deck Description

With everything being a treefolk, Leaf-Crowned Elder is amazingly effective. I've always enjoyed treefolk, and each of these treefolk helps with different things.

Deck discussion for Dauntless Doran

I love this deck! Treefolk are an underestimated tribal creature, it would be nice to see some more in new sets.

I've played lots of treefolk decks and have learned a few things about some of these cards.

Whenever I maindeck Cloudcrown Oak he's useless most the time. Even when playing against faeries or small flyers (which I've done quite a few times) a 3/4 for 4 is not very efficient and it can't really protect you from a dragon unless you have Timber Protector. Usually my best chance against flyers is to race them. It would be great to have 1 and tutor for him when you need him (using Treefolk Harbinger) or just sideboard him. Really it all depends on your play group so if you run into tons of flyers, he's worth it so just ignore this.

Everbark Shaman and Timber Protector are both very good but once you get Timber Protector out Everbark Shaman won't get to use its ability.(not to mention Black Poplar Shaman which is good but doesn't combo well with either.)

It seems one of the advantages your deck has over my current Treefolk deck is speed. getting Doran out on turn three can be killer and while Poplar is inferior to Protector it can keep your early creatures alive. Battlewand Oak is a neat creature and while I've never got it to work it could be good in a fast deck.

You HAVE to put Murmuring Bosk in this deck!

Also if you're not on a strict budget (Like me) you might consider the shocklands from Ravnica (Temple Garden and Overgrown Tomb) as they count as forests and will pump Battlewand Oak.

Check out my treefolk deck cause' I could always use tips.

With regards to everbark shaman, i always used Nameless Inversion in my treefolk deck (since those count as treefolk), and... its pretty much the same as a lightning bolt.

Murmuring Bosk is really really good, expecially with Treefolk Harbinger, because Harbinger can tutor a forest, and murmuring bosk is a forest.

I'd suggest dropping Black Poplar shaman, or something for Harmonize, or a spell that lets you draw cards.

Oh yeah, this is the Tree deck you were talkin' about. Alright Mr. Durden, well played. ;P

This is nice. No spells, just sTr8 branch-spankin', I love it. I originally had a couple of these one's in mine, but decided against them for the particular combination I was goin' for. I had first had 2 white trees & 1/2 blacks, but decided to go for suit w/ green & forests, etc.

I like this man, I bet this sh*t would own pretty nicely. I see the point to the cards & the "net" of defense to catch things, like even if Protector get's iced somehow, etc. I like this one man. Goodjob, 9.5 Stars bro!
