Deck Description

This deck is for Julio...

The main thing is to use Path to Exile with Archive trap for fast milling, followed up by keening stone later on. Use deprive and halimar depths to modify your deck as much as possible. Esper charm to draw cards and the occasional destruction of enchantments. There are no creatures in the deck, so you need to plan accordingly. It won't matter if you get battered dow to 1 life, just mill the piss out of their deck... I put bloodghast in the sideboard in case you want creatures for those fast decks, Smack them with day of judgment and drop a land and poof, you have them back. This is somewhat of an advanced deck and may take a bit of play testing before you get used to it.

the only use of an bloodghast would be to block, they arent going to do 20 damage to your opponent solo, i cant agree with that call, i would say mind funeral would be a nice addition if you could find some room.

Also, Bloodghast cannot block, they are pure offense. They can block it and possibly loose another creature. Hmm, maybe Vampire Nighthawk would be better, lifegain and removal

yup, it always counters and i do not have to make sure they have all lands tapped.

I have one suggestion. "Memory Sluice" it's effectively 8 cards milled for 1 mana. So throw in 4x of those & for 4 mana they just milled 32 cards, rather than 5 mana for 13 cards on Archive trap, or keep both & just find somethin' to replace it w/. I like this deck. 9 Stars!

No creatures in the deck, i stayed away from memory Sluice, plus it needed to stay in Standard. Archive trap only costs 0 if you nail them with a path to exile and they search for a land.

Hedron Crab and Marsh Flats. It would be good for sideboard if you wanted more creatures. The fetch lands would also help with your Bloodghasts, too.

why the hell is counterspell not in there? remove haunting echoes and replace it with a traumatize. Traumatize will almost always mill more and when it doesn't any other mill spell could finish them. Replace cancel with mana leak. One mana leak kills in the early game. Two kill in the late game.

why not run tezzerets gambit and the contagion clasp/engine early game the clasp is good if your not running any creatures plus speeds up jace. i agree with progenitals(lol) run traumatize on avg it mills 20-30 cards thats a nice mill for 4 plus keening stone+traumatize= one turn win.

I love how one person makes a comment on this and BOOM it's on the front page... this deck was made 9 f***ing months ago people... for standard... God, take a minute to read comments and what-not before you start tearing it to shreds.

Sadly, Path to exile says you "may" search your library, so don't always count on being able to call "Its A TRAP!" and plop down your archive trap for zero. Id say get more card advantage to help u get more stuff, like howling mine or font of mythos.
