Deck Description

Okay... so, this will only work in Legacy and Vintage but in Standard it can work on turn three.
Turn one, use dark ritual and play three 1 cmc creatures and drop demon of death's gate, then on turn two give him tainted strike and he's a 10/9 infect beast =) 10 poison counters is game over!

Deck discussion for Turn 2 Infect Win

since this deck relies heavily on a very, very particullar combo i would take out some of the less necessary cards like unholy strength, and put more demonic tutors and maybe another vampiric tutor. seeing as the unholy strength's aren't really necessary with the demon and tainted strike combo. but just a suggestion

Demonic tutor is a restricted card. I can only have the one. I used Unholy strength's in case i do not have a Demon of Death's gate right away, that way i can beef up my little guys. Unholy strength on a Will-o'-the-Wisp is great. a 2/2 flying regenerating pain in the ass...

Diabolic Tutor would work.

I would do darkest hour and toss in a bunch of 0 casting creatures. Then toss in a few lightning greaves, so your demon of death's gate would be a 10/9 with 10 infect, shroud, haste, flying and trample. For a 1 to 3 turn kill. The street wrath's are a good idea to cycle cards for no man's cost.

try using street wraith for its cycling ability

That's not a bad idea... Sign in Blood sounds more appealing though...

street wraith is a manaless draw for a cost of 2 life, lets you do it turn 1

street wraith is alot better

in terms of street wraith, i agree, it's a decent card, but it doesn't really fit this deck b/c it's basically a filler card, and sign in blood gives you 2 cards. take it as you will, but i don't think street wraith is right.

I like this deck a lot, simple yet effective.

Unlike most decks I tend to find on this website, I believe you actually have too much land. Your goal is to go off in 3 turns or less and you use a lot of your mana based off dark ritual. I'd take out 3 swamps and add in more cards to help your combo along. Maybe some form of disruption like Thoughtseize. This will help get rid of any counters your opponent may have.

if anything, you can run putrid imp, reanimate, and exhume in this deck so you can do another alternative way of getting the demon out in first turn. All you need is, swamp, purtid imp, dark ritrual, Exhume or reanimate, demon in your opening hand, and the infect spell.

Very true, but i was basing it off of his ability not the reanimation aspect. Maybe i'll write up another mean way to abuse this power ass demon.

since your in legacy and vintage you could probably manage this on turn one.

something like land, simian spirit guidex3, kiln fiend, reckless charge, tainted strike/assault strobe=attack for 20 life or 10 poison.

There's a lot of mana accel in legacy

Wow...not sure what else to say but wow. Obviously, it can be altered and refined, but for what your trying to do, I say awesome. I agree with soulknife, IF you wanted to mix in some other colors, this could not only be faster, but in general, a more consistent deck. But again, thats not what you're going for, so Ill just shut up....Well done!

awesome awesome idea, i dont know how i couldnt think of that myself lol since i have demon of deaths gate. Heres a link of my type 2 tournament legal infect deck maybe you can look at it and tell me your opinion on how i can make it faster.

i've been trying this deck out and i will say that it really runs slowly, even with modifications. definately if you try this deck take out unholy strength. also, try, instead of death cultist, put in 4 merrow bonegnawer's (tap: exile card in players graveyard, untap when you play black spell) with 4 gravestorm's (3 cost enchantment, draw a card every upkeep unless opponent exiles card in the graveyard.). not to mention that you take out the thoughtseize and consuming vapors because thoughtseize is pointless in this deck and consuming vapors is too expensive in my opinion. Also, at most you want to run 15 swamps, but i find that, if you put in stuff like cabals ritual and culling the weak on top of dark ritual that you can run it with around only 10 instead, giving you more room for other good cards. plus playing reanimates and exhumes, about 2 of each, help in terms of losing creatures, or sacrificing them for culling the weak. not to mention that a couple shrouded lore's to reuse the cards that you need.
basically, here's the deck i'm talking about:
4 xDemon of death’s gate
4 x deathgreeter
4 x merrow bonegnawer
4 x carrion rats
4 x prickly boggarts

10 x swamps

2 x exhume
2 x vampiric tutor
1 x demonic tutor (maybe)
4 x tainted strike
4 x virulent swipe
4 x dark ritual
2 x reanimate
3 x vampiric link
4 x sign in blood
4 x gravestorm
3 x culling the weak
2 x shrouded lore

as you can see, i also added in 4 more 1 cost creatures. The downside to the deck that has been proposed is that it actually runs slow if you don't get the right cards. because the liklihood of getting a dark ritual, 3 1 costs, demon in the opening hand with a tainted strike as well or as the next card drawn is very unlikely. not only does the proposed deck try to help aleviate that problem, but it also offers the you a of fighting back better without the demon. Please, advice on cards i should play would be helpful in this revamped version of the demon infect deck.

ya...your deck list isnt legal in any format dude....vampiric tutor is banned in legacy and restricted in Vintage...sorries

cool idea, but the odds of drawing correctly for the 2nd or 3rd turn win is slim to none. plus if you were facing a discard deck, forget about it.

Also run Darkest Hour and memnites and/or ornithopters

Another way to win on Turn 2 would be to Cast Vector Asp on turn 1. Then in turn 2, activate Vector Asp's ability, cast Invigorate and Berserk
