Deck Description

If you like control, this deck puts the controls to 11.

If you want to draw a bunch of carda take no agressive actions other than wraths.

Give away so much mana and cards!!

Phelddagrif, the purple hippo is for you.

This deck is all about politics. Truce, Peacemaker, Arbiters and Propaganda

These are your allies to keep agressive actions in check.

The main goal is to have the game end in a draw with everyone drawing out at once.

Or use the Laboratory Maniac for the solo.

Honestly this deck is so fun because you are not their to “Win” you are there to end the game with as many “Survivors”

(Even with all the bad cards this deck has a pretty high win rate in my play group)

The decks nick name is “ Game State Violation Waiting to Happen”. Due to so many effects you have to keep track of for your opponentts.

F.Y.I. : it is legal for you to miss your beneficial triggers, but it is considered a game state violation of you miss informing your opponennts of the beneficial triggers.

And this is why getting to the end of game with all that chekanary going on and getting everyone out of it alive is the best win.

How to Play

How to win witn a deck that is giving away cards and mana at every corner.

The idea is by using all the free mana and cards it accelerates everyone into late-game stalemate status as fast as possible.

This will allow slower decks to catch up and the fast decks to present a threatening stance just by playing out their best cards.

You can utilize Phelddagrif to either give life or cards.
You usually do this during someones turn to either help them get that land drop or negate attack damage.

This strategy usually works because you youraelf are such a low value target.

Keeping your head low is the specific reason for not putting in “Smothering Tithe” as that puts a massive bullseye pointed at you.

Going after the hippo player has no upside unless you are the person currently winning.

If you are behind you want the extra card draw, if you are in the lead you want to cut off the card draw to your opponentts. So that usually leaves you with only one player at a time that you really have to worry about.

In order to get the best benefit from all the free effects, is to end-step them before your turn once you have a Flash effect.

Great techniques for stopping aggressive attacks is right before an alpha strike play out Peacekeepeer or Silent Arbiter, this is usually something people dont see coming.

The best place for everyones deck is in their hand so that they get overloaded with choices and want to just play out all their cards and use all their mana on their turn

The eladamri’s vineyard does this as well by encouraging pre-combat casting.
This will make propoganda and ghostly prison very effective.

Having everything stuck in hand is a Hedge against deck re-shufflers like “Gaeas Blessing” and Eldrazi graveyard triggers

Thats all early game gloves on strategy.

How you lock it down is get out a flash effect. Any one of them work.
Then get out awakening.
This will allow you to take a turn for every turn that happens.

Doing this will allow you to focus on each person taking their turn.

Forbid is obviouslly very strong but should only be used once you can leverage the buyback with all the card-draw...

It will take a smart player to ignore all the card draw and mana to go after the hippo first and then take out the remaining two.

Some other things that matter.

Making it easy for other people to understand what you are doing will decrease your threat level.

Example: with “eladamris vineyard” have two tokens specifially for that effect.
It makes it easy and you have something to hand a player each turn.

With the modal “Truce” cards. DO NOT READ THEM OUT
Say it like a new modal card
Each player chooses one-
-Draw 2 Cards
-Gain 2 Life, Draw 1 Card
-Gain 4 Life

Its things like this that will you seem less threatening beacaue everything juat gives away so much free cards and life and they understand that ya all you do is cards and life and Yes cards will eventually kill you but the person over there with a huge army will get there first.

People tend to forget that you gave them that army with all the cards and lifegain.

Life gain and Wraths:

You want to utilize Life gain and Wraths to negate an overly aggressive board

If a player makes a big swing at someone else you usually want to use the life gain effect to negate the attack. After doing this for a while someone will usually build up enough to threaten you and that is the point at which you wrath.

You want to keep people scrapping it up as much as possible.

Then late-game as huge get me out of trouble.
You stack all your life-gain on one opponennt.
And then you can use “Arbiter of Knollridge” to just put everyone to that buffed up life total. If you can get to this point it is usually lights out for the table.
This effect is repeatable with the “Crystal Shard” bounce.

This version is really fun because of the lack of aggressive tactics and just cards and life and who doesnt want to play in a game of mtg where someone seriously has”Howling Mine”

Updated the description and the how-to
