Lands matter in Hazezon Tamar. Ramp up and cast Hazezon for a bunch of Sand Warriors, then send pumped up tokens straight at your opponent.
Early and mid game, you want to be ramping up while controlling the board. Get one of your creature pump effects in hand, then cast Hazezon for a bunch of creature tokens the following turn. Quick trick: Remember that Hazezon's comes into play ability is a delayed effect. If you can get Hazezon off the board before the tokens come into play, there is no worry about your opponent trying to get rid of Hazezon to destroy your tokens as well.
