No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My idea was to build working tripal vampire modern deck. So you can tell me what went wrong from your view and tell how you have did Modern vampire deck. Also tell me how should I build sideboard for this deck. :) NEED HELP ! THANK YOU!

How to Play

This deck moves around Bloodghast! He needs help from Kalastria Highborn, blood artist and Vampire Nocturnus. Also the kill spell's are good to have with to bring some control. Do you thing my spells are right ? For control I mean. Tell me what you guys think?

Deck discussion for New Blood in town

What went wrong? Well take a look at the mana-curve ;).
No seriously it looks like you have tried to put 2 deck strategy's into this deck. MonoB Vampire decks normally tend to be an rather aggressive built using "Vampire Nocturnus" to buff your creatures and bypass your opponents defences. Those decks rely on aggressive creatures and cheap (cmc) removal spells.

So if you want to do a vampire sacrificing deck (which sounds like your plan when using "Kalastria Highborn" and "Blood Artist" to back him up) there are some important cards missing. But if you want to play this deck more aggressive then I would recommend lowering your mana-curve and altering your creature list a little bit.

I have done my personal revision of the Vampire Onslaught deck from WotC (http://www.mtgvault.com/muktol/decks/vampire-onslaught-revised/) and also built a B/W sacrificing deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/muktol/decks/wb-tribal-vampire-sacrifice/)

Greetings
Muktol

Thank you Muktol that was useful! I changed this deck a bit just to check if it really works with lot's and lot's of destroy target creature spells.
So what do you think does it now have two ideas at your point of view or do I have to take those Kalastrias out of the deck and think some other way to get this deck fast. :)

The deck has now a rather strong control component. When playing control I would add some more discard spells like Duress. They remove the threads from your opponents hand and prevent him from even casting them. Of course you need a little bit of card knowledge to know that to get rid of and what your opponent can keep.
24 lands seem to be on the high side so you could add some additional creatures.

"Bile Blight" might be an interesting option for your sideboard.
"Read the Bones" perhaps as 2/2 split or instead of "Sign in Blood" (costs 1 mana more to play but the scry ability could increase your chance of drawing certain cards)
Otherwise it's looking good now. *like*

I play a more aggro based vampire deck in Red and black that performs well but has not been to a modern tournament. I wondering if you would need some early creatures first, vampire nocturnes works well when giving small vampires flying and counters to go over your opponents defense. Out of your 16 creatures 12 of them already have flying. So you could go either way with that there maybe some better more controlling vampires that you could use.

Thanks Xerohero for you reply !

I'm trying to do a control based vampire deck. For me the boost from Vampire Nocturnus is more important. But your right as well. I can get more Vampire's from Bloodline Keeper but then there really isn't any little mobs that can benefit from my Nocturunes ability as you said.

I checked some low mana cost Vampire's but none of them really work for me.

Can you maybe send me your decks link ? I would like to see R/B Modern Vampire :D

Also do you in any change have OCTGN at your computer ? I would like to challenge your R/B Vampire with this deck.
