Deck Description

Commander: Derevi, Empyrial Tactician (GWU)
Derevi is an extremely versatile commander. His ability to repeatedly tap or untap permanents works nicely to remove the drawback of some cards -- especially mana rocks like monoliths or Mana Vault -- as well as activate tap abilities multiple times.
Token production helps to maximise the number of triggers you have to work with, and colorless creatures make easy use of the copious amounts of mana Derevi makes available. The variety of mana rocks available are exccellent value when you can skip the cost to untap them. Stacking the triggers on a rock allows for some ludicrously large instants to be cast -- like a Chord of Calling for Ulamog or a Sphinx's Revalation for 22.

However, I'm not quite sure how to optimize this list. Silverblade Paladin seems like an excellent inclusion, but I'm not quite sure what to take out for it. The same goes for Sphinx's Revalation, Kozilek, and Hero of Bladehold.
I've listed some other possible options in the Sideboard area. I'm not really constrained by budget, but I'd like to stay away from unfun things such as Winter Orb even if they work splendidly with Derevi. Have you got any ideas?
