The watermarks behind the cards
When you look at some cards they have like circles in the back with the top parts separated, and on other cards there is a circle with a squgilly line though it. what does this mean? please let me know everything about the marks.

these are the mirran-phyrexia watermarks. the watermark on lets say on contagion clasp is for the phyrexians and the watermarks on the myr mana creatures are for mirrans. they indicate if the card is mirran based or phyrexian based because in tournaments, the cards will say if your w/ the mirran factions or the phyrexia. it has no bearing on the game play itself but recently if your deck has 10 or more cards under one faction in sanction dci tournaments, they will give you a tempered steel full art card if your mirran or a memnite if your phyrexian.

the card that they will give you will depend on how many faction cards you have. i cant find the specific article for the mechanics but its on daily MTG. : )

Yes. The watermarks have no bearing on game mechanics, card legality, or strategy. They are pure fluff, like the picture and flavor text.
And, apparently, tournaments are now doing a cute give-away thing based on them. I just heard of that here, though, so I can't tell you anything about it.
