Deck Challenge: EDH

Okay here's a bit of a time-consuming one, but personally is one of my favorite kinds of decks.

Your challenge is to create a full 100 card EDH deck. That means that you choose a single legendary creature as your leader and your deck's colors are limited to that creature's colors. Then you create your 100 card deck however you want from there. EXCEPT the catch is that you can only have 1 of any card in the deck (exception: basic lands).

Btw, your leader has a special summoning ability. Essentially you can cast your leader during your turn from a "kind-of" exiled existence. When your commander would die, instead they may be re-exiled by their controller's choice and can be played again for an extra 2 colorless mana eachy time. AKA: If your commander just got pwned and you play it again and it is killed again. It costs an extra 4 to play again. Yikes. Under a condition where your commander would be unsummoned or put into your library, your commander is not "exiled" but follows the effect normally. This ability to continuously play your commander should factor into your decisions.

Also regarding your choice of commander, if your commander has done a total of 21 combat damage to any player, that player loses, regardless of their life total.

I'm really curious how well people can develop a theme through about 60-80 individual cards while still staying efficient and productive. If you have any questions on rules, there are some good general summaries out there, I know I'm not very good at explaining rules:(

one ashling the pilgrim and 99 mountains, or replace a mountain with an ashling's prerogative and say odd. its a nice edh deck.

I run a Jhoira of the Ghitu EDH deck that works stupendously, easily one of the best generals you can choose. Give me a while (since it takes a while) to construct the decklist, and I will add it over here......

I like it... You get some BIG stuff out in good succession with low mana cost while still having mana to focus on other tasks... Seems to work quite nicely. Well done.

You know, even though Relentless Rats clearly say there is no restriction on the amount of them in your deck, EDH rules state that no 2 non-land cards may have the same name. Unfortunately this means that 60 Relentless Rats a non-legal deck does make. :/ Sorry, nice try though.

I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that the rats are an exception to the rule in EDH too.

I built this EDH deck with Oona, Queen of the Fae as the General. It does decent, but i don't really play to win, i play for fun and friends.

Her awesomeness is why she is banned as a commander in most circles, along with Rofellos.

the rats rule overrides any ruling on limits, you can have an edh dick... i mean deck with nothing but rats. though i would have less land, more like 35 land, one being a bog just in case, the rest rats.

But she isn't banned universally... don't even try and compare her to the brokenness that is Rofellos. That's just unfair.
