Fun Challenge: Odd Tribes

Just an idea from someone board at work :p

The challenge is to make a tribal deck, but there's a catch, you can't use the commonly used tribes (ie. Elves, Merfolk, Goblins, Vampires, Werewolves, Humans, etc). Use tribes like Frogs or something.

Rules:
1) Have fun
2) No 'normal' tribes

PS a deck that uses mostly changelings is a shapeshifter tribe, so don't use too many of them in your tribe.

For a full list of tribes you can't use, look at surewhynot's post further down.

Eh, it's not the most exiting deck. There's only 2 "eye" creatures...It has those, just enough changelings to get by, and Automatons, and then sort of runs on a MBC design with some sacrifice stuff thrown in. Like I said, it works nicely, but...eh, not the most exciting build =/

So you could try with Evil eyes this horrible combo.

Any Evil Eye + Baazar Trader + Homeward Path

What you do is during your opponents turn you donate the evil eye with the Baazar Trader. So now they have an Evil eye with summoning sickness. So there non-evil eyes cannot attack, then at End of turn you take it back with homeward path. then you get to attack with. On thier turn, do it again.

Its really really dumb :D

I made a chimera tribal cause everything else is too mainstream.
http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=244592
The goal is to add chimera parts to changelings to have cyborg changelings. ITs evenly split so its sort of a dual tribal deck with krosan tusker as card draw rather than as a creature.
I made it on behest of a friend.

I'm new around here, but I have a couple offbeat tribes for you.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=248852 Here we have Horton's Revenge; it's a different take on the elephant tribe. No Loxodon here, and no elephant-people. Four legs good, two legs bad!

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=248846 And here's a little barbarian action. 69 cards because they're barbarians; they aren't messing around with your 60 card rules!

Any comments appreciated.

Not sure if I'd call Druids or Saprolings odd tribes. One of the best elf decks I've ever seen is a Druid deck...

Chickens though...definitely odd =P

The druids are only half elves and have no bonuses for elves and thats only 'cause 80% of druids are elves.
