Fun with Life from the Loam

I realize it's been a good while since I've last done something on here, my suggestion to start tinkering with Doomsday being my last challenge, so I felt it was time to spread some laughter again. :o

The card Life from the Loam and I began our adventures a while back when I first started with my original :manab::manau::manag: list for 36-Lands, I can honestly say that I instantly fell in love.

The card has been incredibly fun in every format I've played it in, so my challenge for you this time is to make something you think enjoyable to play, with only the catch of having a full playset of Life from the Loam between your seventy-five!

Have fun people, and remember to always laugh onward into the unknown
Also, I'll be editing this post for a better format later. I just wanted to put the challenge out for now :D

This actually looks like a good bit of fun to play.

Life from the Loam + Scorched Earth is almost unfair.

Created it two weeks ago, based on the aggro loam deck that won GP Lincoln.

I'm not sure how well it'll work without the dark confidants, tarmagoyfs and the more expensive lands...but I didn't want to drop the extra ~300$ on those.

I actually just received the cards yesterday so I'll be testing it out this weekend =)

Very interesting, both of your designs, I'll definitely be looking more into them. I really like the idea of running a pair Raven's Crime in Loam, seems like it could be useful.

Also, I can't lie, the Loam list in Modern is what inspired me to do this challenge. I even looked at my aged Legacy Aggro-Loam list because of it, so I guess Modern has given me more than I expected of it.

Sorry I'm taking a while to respond, I've been helping a friend move into a new place. I got caught while I was writing a comment for your deck Church

Interesting thought DeathTyrant, and find the idea of doing a deck like that would be really fun, but Life from the Loam is really the main focus of this. Your deck does look exceedingly fun though, so I'll be looking at it once I finish some business that has been unattended for to long :D

got to playtest this weekend and it didn't go so well...will probably have to drop another hundred to pick another liliana and some pricier lands.

definitely adding some Scorched Earth, that's simply brutal =)

also gonna swap out the darkblasts and bolts for some dredge creatures.

Realms Unchartered and Faitless Looting were nice additions I tried out.

and I highly recommend rocking those cycle lands...they were great for drawing into answers or triggering extra dredge.

edit: changed up my decklist, decided to splurge on a second liliana and some fetch lands after all..not quite as budget as before, but still much cheaper than the dark confidant/goyf version:

a friend pointed out how nasty Burning Vengeance was combined with my retrace spells so had to include that.
