Mana Curve

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=243076 Is the deck. I want to try and remove lands to add either copper and/or silver myrs, Or Birds of Paradise. I could also remove the artful dodges.

The Goal is to have more creatures go into my graveyard where they have a use, lands do not.

I'm trying to go standard because that's the tournaments that are local for me. So if you see anything else, let me know.

thats what i came up with... im not sure how i feel about it to be honest. it does what you wanted, but it seems like a surgical extraction on your birds would in effect kill you for mana, and a nihli spellbomb would almost guarantee the lose. i get why you wanted creatures instead of lands for mana, but im not sure if taking lands out is the solution. you were only running 20 lands to begin with, so taking any more out leaves a pretty high chance you wont get the mana you need to get started in your opening hand, and the best deck in the world wont save you if you have to mulli down to 2 cards

Before going to work today I changed it to this. I was able to play one game. And was able to win with just 4 mana producing things total.

I like what Green Sun's Zenith does. Just any spell that does not have flash back or add's something to my graveyard puts me on edge.

Only reason so far I don't have say 4 birds is because I only own two.

Im also tempted to put the ruinators back in the main deck. I have yet to cast one but they do worry people. Also I think it would be funny as hell to run 4 ruinators and 2nd game take them all out. So when the play the cage I would not care.

This is a different deck I came up with that runs off of the same mechanic, but instead of using :manau: for mill, it uses :manar: for discard. You might dig it: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=306695

Green sun doesnt put anything in your graveyard or have flashback, true, but it does get shuffled into your library so you can use it again, and it also prevents you from milling yourself

Have you ran that R/G deck at all? Does seem like you can have more control as to whats going in the graveyard. By 4th turn I have had 2 ghoultrees out. How fast can you get the umph going?

Search your library for a green creature card with converted mana cost X or less, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library. Shuffle Green Sun's Zenith into its owner's library.

you can still mill green sun out of your library. Doesn't say "From anywhere"

And I really need to get 2 mirror mads so I can try them out.

i never said it makes it impossible to mill yourself, i said it prevents it. its not a perfect plan, but it helps
if green suns in your hand when you mill your deck out, you cast it, it gets shuffled back in and you have a card to draw next turn so you dont lose, just keep casting it every turn

Gotcha. I must say one of my favorite games played was Jansenist a mill deck. He help me out so much he did not know what was about to hit him.
