I played against someone with a deck identical to this at a FNM once. They managed to get all their Phantasmal Images to copy Wurmcoil Engine. That was rough.

I'm buiding something similar and was thinking going adaptives at first but I think the metaporph is far more versatile, you can copy whatever you want. if you start duplicating that wurmcoil with the metaporph and the image, it is definitely game over for the other player. Its a tough choice, I would maybe go with 2 of each. The +1+1 to all illusion you can get from automaton is still pretty nice
This is true, I havent tried the automations yet. I havent play tested this one on one yet. So when i do ill update this.

How do you like the Azure Mage in this deck? I've got a similar build and I'm stuck on how to replace the card advantage lost with Preordain's rotation...

I'd try replacing dismember with Tragic Slip. also, i think you could find a better replacement for azure mage; too much mana for its ability.

Tragic slip needs black mana. And if you want more +1/+1 just copy a lord. Simple.
