Two milldecks recently went top 8 in modern. Since there were two very different designs winning, I think the cards they shared in common should be a hint towards what actually works for mill... Here's what the two winning designs got in common: 4 hedron crabs 4 archive trap 4 visions of beyond 4 glimpse the unthinkable 3 cards giving slight card advantage (either snapcaster mage or augur of bolas) 2 cards discarding important stuff (either thoughtseize or surgical extraction)

I tried to find the decks in the top8 but was unable to, do you have a link?out the above cards that you suggested I went with what i had in my card pool.2 archive trap - sideboard1 visions of beyond - sideboard1 surgical extraction - sideboard2 horrifying revelations - I felt this as a good option for discard and a bonus mill.

thanks for the links, I can see why both decks made it into the top8! So I made some minor changes to the deck. firstly! I swapped out 3 x wight of presinct six (these cards are rendered useless for this build) for 2 x hedron crabs. and kept the creature count at 16 rather then 17. Included 2 x crypt incursion to sideboard HR ( still like this card but might change to a duress or mind rot). Added 1 x mindbreak trap and an extra mind funeral.For the lands I removed 2 x Dimier gulds gates ( i peronally think GG lands are over rated) and vivid lands, added 4 crack lands and dropped the land to 22 from 23.And for the sideboard I removed 2 cancel, 2 far and away and added 2 echoing thruth and HR( your fav!).I guess i'll find out this weekend if it's tournie ready!
