It's quite simple: beat face. Chief of the Edge is there to give all but 1 of your creatures +1/+0 (Marauder being the exception), a mini anthem. Other than that you are going for the face over and over again. Athreos ensures that your dudes are not so easy to finish off, and Sorin gives you some reach into mid game.

You really should dump the Tormented Hero for Gnarled Scarhide, just a better creature. Also cut Athreos and run a set of Downfall and Blights instead.

Warrior matters, that's why tormented > scarhide. I'll probably cut 1 Athreous for a Downfall but I want to pull into steam and keep the steam going more than anything else.
