Deck Description

This deck is insane. I made it to 174 life by turn 7 once. Suggestions are welcome

Dear everyone who suggested kor spiritdancer,

I will get a kor spiritdancer when I get my paycheck.

ok, so I know that it isn't a aura card, or even remotely related to enchantments, but juniper order ranger might be a good card in here. work really well with the gnarlids. :) when you put a creature out, put a +1/+1 counter on it and another on Juniper order ranger. downfall is that it is 3WG to cast. but, that was what popped into my head as I was looking through this deck. :)

I thought about that too but then I decided to leave those in my Knight deck. Thanks again for commenting :)

Again not an aura but still an enchant, True Conviction+Cradle of Vitality? It would get crazy with Ageless Entity.

Thanks, you're right, it would. If I can get my hands on either of those I'll add them in. :)

I had a deck just like this. I ended up tearing it a part because all my buddies think the aura gnarlid is a broken.unfair card.....

I like it!

yeah, I know. Such a uber powered card. I have a UG deck built around the gnarlids. I wasn't allowed to use it after a while.

Very Nice deck. Can you check mine out. I just made it and I'm looking for alot of comments and attachments that people can give me. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=353090 It's in my opinion a very good deck. I would like to 1v1 mine vs. yours but like i can't. :'(

You NEED to make all of the cards that are only 1 into atleast 2....like ageless entity... get rid of one of your spirit mantles and make it better and the canopycover isn't really necessary and it doesn't have any control on the deck.

When I get some $$$ I'll get more ageless entity but for now this is what I have...

Canopy cover is a must in this deck actually as it protects against all kinds of removal which ruins this deck

I suggest sunspring expedition + evolving wilds (or any land fetch). Nice list othwise.

Okay I probably will. Later in the game drawing lands sucks, and the evolving wilds would get rid of 2 instead of one. Thanks for commenting. :)

4: Mammoth umbra on moth.
5: celestial mantle on moth. Begin attacking >:3
6: canopy cover and favor of the woods on moth.
7: life is doubled for a third time, bringing me to 174. I would've gotten higher, but I won. Lol

when rhox faithmender comes out you must put him in, card text : mana cost: 3W

"Lifelink (damage dealt by this creature also causes you to gain that much life)

if you would gain life, you gain twice that much life instead"

Power: 1 Toughness: 5

also from M13 serra avatar P/T= to your life total
and maybe a combo of true conviction and sublime archangel. archangel= exalted and all other creatures have exalted

0
Posted 25 June 2012 at 07:46

Thanks, good suggestions. I'll get those but I don't really need archangel. Exalted is good but the way this deck runs I only get about 2-3 creatures out. and anyway, they're all big enough without exalted. Rhino man and Aang however, will be in it later. :)

Kor spirit dancer is a must and some hexproof creaute to drop your auras on so that your buffed up creatures cant be zapped and if you drop the auras on all say a gladecover scout you get a card draw from spirit dancer and buffed up gladecover scout creature and a massive aura gnarlid

0

I'm looking into getting more gladecovers, the two that I have definitely aren't enough. Thanks for commenting :)

I'm really new to magic and building a life gain deck too ... have you seen that creature card in Ajani's deck on the 2013 magic the gathering which states you win if your life exceeds 40... I think when 2013 becomes effective, you should definately add that card.

Felidar sovereign is that card. It is from a few blocks back. Unless of course they are reprinting it.

i think if your going to play that many enchants you could play the enchantress that draws you a card everytime you play an enchant, would speed your deck up or help you draw win and/or defense sources much faster.

0
Posted 25 June 2012 at 18:08

Or kor spiritdancer, since his enchantments are all auras. Cheaper cmc and more useful ability for thus deck.

0

I used to run mesa enchantress, but then I took an arr- sorry, wrong nerdy thing to say. Then I splashed the life gain element and she got cut...

I have a friend that rolls 4 wall of revrence and 4 ageless entity. You double your life total at the end of every endstep from wall of revrence and its a 1/6 + ageless get nastier then you will ever know. Plus if he get dick blasted(doom blade) you life will be rediculious to the point people are gonna quit. I've been there

0

I don't know if it would work well or not, but have you considered Chalice of Life as an alternate win condition?

0
Posted 26 June 2012 at 18:01

Not to burst anyones bubble nut I do not think ageless entity will power up when your life total is doubled. Doubling your life total does not nessecarily mean you gain life. Its only multipying your life by two. Therefore ageless entity would not power up. Its the same as not being able to prevemt damage with a safe passage against a card that makes you lose life so its tehnically not damage.

0
Posted 26 June 2012 at 21:36

The way I see it is if I have 20 life, and then my life total is doubled to 40, 40 is greater than 20, therefore I gained 20 life. Besides, even if you are correct and the game is full of too many unwritten technicalities, I only have one of each of those cards, and plenty of other ways for the deck to be just as effective.

0
Posted 27 June 2012 at 01:06

Yeah thats what I keep thinking to but like u said with the technicalities. Anf again I agree.you dont really need it anyone. Im jist trying to find out so when we play we know.

maybe a soul warden and i would add like 1 more mantle they get very powerful i've gotten to 867 life before with them and with the pridemate it can be very good combo

0

yeah, my casual group banned the pridemate because it was so powerful.

0

Especially in w/g where you can give it trample so easily. In a good life gain deck it'd be like 8/8 with trample by turn 4/5ish for only 1W (plus however you added trample) and that can be hard to get around. Such a great card

0
Posted 27 June 2012 at 12:51

yeah... had a deck that got him up to a 32/32 trampler in about 7 turns after he had been put into play, and again after he had been bounced.
