Deck Description

After months of research here in Zonot Three, I have perfected evolution. Nature is a wonderful engineer, but...

How to Play

Ideal turn progression:
Turn 1: cloudfin raptor
Turn 2: young wolf, rapid hybridization, swing 2 with raptor.
Turn 3: renegade krasis, swing 8.
Turn 4: master biomancer, swing for 14.
Turn 5+: go nuts with anything in hand. Give / take to pump biomancer or draw cards, flicker ætherling to evolve everything a bunch, use ooze fluz to make an infinite creature engine with evolve and master biomancer...the possibilities are endless with rhe Simic Combine.

Deck discussion for What the Flux!?

I believe Fathom Mage can be replaced with Prime Speaker Zegana, especially if you are running a counter-build strategy with Give//Take... but to do that you will need to not expose a Gyre Sage. Instead, have Farseek add mana and run an aggro deck...

Plus, if you use Rapid Hybridization on Young Wolf, the damage you swing with is actually 3 on a Cloudfin Raptor:
- 0/1 Cloudfin Raptor
- +1 (Young Wolf is Cast)
- +1 (Rapid Hybridization kills the Young Wolf, which reenters the battlefield as a 2/2 with the Undying feature)
- +1 (The 3/3 Frog Lizard Token appears per Rapid Hybridization)
- =3/4 Cloudfin Raptor plus 2/2 Young Wolf and 3/3 Frog Lizard Token

I made a mistake in counting that combo before. Hope this helps.

^ Zegana and other top end threats also help evolve your renegade krasis and make the most of it

I agree with Zegana, thanks. Unfortunately, the frog lizard has to enter the battlefield before the young wolf. The kill and the token are parts of the same effect and resolve at the same time. The wolf can not undie until he dies, and therefore cannot undie until after the token enters. Evolve only triggers twice that turn

^ True story. It'd work with a strangleroot geist though

^True story, but not on turn 2.

^ Also true story (continuing the pattern). But well worth the extra turn wait. And if you wait an extra turn (turn four) you can evolve the renegade krasis off the frog lizard token
