Hold them off with leeching lowbies until you can bring out the big guys like Blood Baron and Obzedat, then keep bringing them out with the Whip and Obzedat's Aid; use Plea for Guidance (if you get it) to bring out the Sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood combo or if you just really want to get another god out. Take advantage of Elspeth and Sorin's tokens, especially if you can give them lifeling, extort, and/or buff them up with their emblems (kind of scattered I know but at least you have several viable options)
