I still don't understand how a boros deck can have 0 Reckoners. That thing is the best! You want faster damage? Block with Reckoner and deal damage on their turn. You want consistency, they are usually too affraid to attack!

mfw Reckoner kills everyone.

Adding some blue for Mass Appeal might be a good idea. Also, Immortal Servitude for 1 (total of 4 mana) brings them all back from the grave.

Not sure the Apostle's ability works in EDH...

Door of Destinies is a 4 cost so it's not that bad. And, even a 1 or 2 of, it pumps up everything like a BOSS!

Problem: When you cast Unexpected Results, you shuffle your deck before you look at the top card. Therefore "setting up a card" just buries it in the deck. Sorry bro.

My only fear with him is that he was built for Shadowborn Apostle. Putting 6 good creatures in the grave just to play him seems a waste.

No no no. You want Lili DR (Liliana of the Dark Realms). The deck seems to revolve around having swamps. She gets you swamps (or blood crypts so you don't get stuck with a Rakdos card in your hand). With crypt ghast, she makes sure you play 2 mana every turn. And then her 2nd ability doubles nightmare's P/T

Tribute to hunger, Ætherize, Away (of far and away), FOG! So many things halt that and then you have to wait for 3 cards before you're ready to strike again and by that time somebody already killed you. All an opponent has to do is hold out for turn 4 and then dissrupt the attack. After that, this deck crumbles.

Even aggro. Boros Reckoner blocks, with first strike. Deal the damage back to the Cyclops. Better yet, Boros Charm, Reckoner is indestructable, deal all the damage to you, you kill YOURSELF on turn 4.

Also, can't play Jace til turn 5, good control decks have stablized by then and would just counter him. No threat. Same with Ætherling. "Counterflux" Only if you play Jace on turn 8 or Ætherling on turn 9. By then, control doesn't care about your Jace OR your Ætherling.
