Deck Description

My cousin nick just began playing magic the gathering today, with my Samurai Deck, well after looking through my cards he asked, are there wolves in MTG. So to answer him I am making this deck, any help would be appreciated, please no childish remarks such as "this is the suxxor" or "i could crush this deck" thank you.

Thanks for the idea Trunzo, they do seem to be a better bet ^-^!
Thank you as well jahalmighty, the Extra Mana and the Planeswalker should really help out!

the wolf skull shamans seem like a shot in dark, it would be better in a deck that has more elves, but here it seems a little out of place

also you should look into tundra wolves - a 1/1 first strike for W

hmmm, dno for a wolf deck I prefer an all green setup ya know?

Maybe you could play test
with howl of the night pack (which you have)
Predatory force
Strength in numbers

not too convinced you need plains but i've never run a wolf deck so what do I know?

Rate my White Swarm Deck plz. :)

I've always thought about building a wolf deck. This looks pretty good as being that you have all the best wolves. But as with all tribal attacking decks, dolmen gate, door of destinies, and Coat of Arms should all be almost auto-included in a deck like this. This looks cool.

Good Luck, kung-fu_elmo

PS: plz comment on my decks, specifically "Guys on 'Roids"

I think it's awesome when people build tribal decks other than the 'obvious' tribes (like elves and goblins), even if it is more for fun.
It may be difficult to get, but Wolf Pack would work nicely in here. Wyluli Wolf may also be nice. I love the Wren's Run Packmaster, but casting her is going to be difficult with only Tolsimir to champion. If you don't want to add more elves, Shields of Velis Vel would allow you to champion your wolves. Priviledged Position or Glare of Subdual might also work nicely. You could probably take out an Aura Shards for one of those.

I would take out at least 2 Tolsimirs and add 2 Msaters of the Wild Hunt and make sure you add some Wyluli wolf's

Yeah I love wolves and I would definitely take out the tundra wolves for some Wyluli wolves and put at the very least 2 Masters of the Wild Hunt in here. The Wolfbriar elemental is also a great card. It just tends to need a little more of a mana ramp than this deck seems to have. Do like the wolf idea though! GOOD LUCK

Just so you know, Banding is an illegal ability (It's not supported anymore). Also, I would take out some spells and add mana ramp as it will increase the effectiveness of your Howl of the Night Pack's. You can still use this deck for casual play, which seems what your going to be doing. Also, I don't see any Wolfbrair Elemental's, any "wolf" deck needs those. Take out your Wren's Run Packmaster, as you don't run many elves.

So, as already has been said, without elves in there, you'll have to sack a Tolsimir in order to play the packmaster, which really is not quite worth it, because the packmaster is great for being such an early card.

I would advise maybe dropping some Tolsimir or Packmasters for more variety, and maybe add in a Wolfbriar Elemental or two. Something like overrun or echoing courage would go well with howling wolves, just for the power, and an Armadillo Cloak can really turn the tide once in a while. Just some thoughts.

At this point, this deck is probably not being improved anymore. However, if it still is, you should toss in Master of the Wild Hunt and definitely Wolfbriar Elementals.

Wolfbriar Elementals and Beastmaster's Ascension.... and maybe Aspect of Wolf for flavor.

Fable of Wolf and Owl is just too expensive to be of any use and because this deck is not strait green, Howl of the Night Pack is going to waste.

The equipment Runed Stalactite can help turn one of your elves into a wolf or a wolf into an elf to be championed. Also Knighthood gives all your creatures first strike. Deathtouch + first strike is just nasty. I also suggest adding in Elvish Harbinger to help search for the elves you need :p

i ran a wolf deck a while back it was a mix of elves and wolf tokens basically mana ramping to pop out tokens with wrens, or wolfbriar and then late game throwing down howl of the night pack into over run
