Deck Description

Got some nice mana acceleration, Braid of Fire being one of the best, throw it down turn 2 and you'll have plenty of mana. Doubling Season 'll get you more than you're fair share of dragons from Broodmother, the Sarkhans, and Outcast, as well as increasing the amount of mana from Braids, increasing any devour bonuses, and doubling Vol's first ability bonus. With the amount of mana being gained, it wouldn't be too terribly hard to Storm up Dragonstorm with just about anything. Karrthus not only gives all of your Dragon's haste, but lets you, at least sometimes, use Mad's second ability as a kill, then put Karrthus down and you have another 5/5, or multiple 5/5s if you have one or more Doubling Seasons out. I know it's a morbidly obese deck, so any dieting tips would be nice.

Deck discussion for Dragon Apocolypse

You may want to look into Broodmate Dragon.

Both good ideas. I had taken out Broodmate before adding Doubling and forgot about it.

you should go either all out drogonstorm or all out dragon deck, not amixture. if u want to go dragonstorm, look into boggardan hellkite, kusho the falling star, and lots of mana exel spells. if u want to go just dragons, urza's incubator and dragonspeaker shaman are a must, and u should actualy think of dropping braid of fire because the mana drains out of your mana pool before your draw step, and therefore can only be used for soulbright flamekin. speaking of which, soulbright flamekin is kinda unnecisary. i'd suggest birds of paradise instead. crucible of fire, to be honest, is overkill and not needed. harrow, in my oppinion, is much better than fertile ground. so those should be swapped. zodiak dragon is good, but doesn't cut it. go with kilnmouth dragon instead. trace of abundance isn't that great, and if you're going to be adding incubators, u might aswell drop it. and ofcourse drop dragonstorm. and your lams to be quite off. i'd suggest dropping rootbound crag for three overgrown tomb, then drop one blood crypt, one stomping ground, all four copperline gorge, and one dragonskull summit, and both blackcleave cliffs. then add in 3 swamp, 4 mountain, and 2 more forest. that should help a bunch.
hope i helped!

And I'm not sure what you mean with dragonstorm not being any good in here.

As well, I can't see any justification for the overgrown tombs, as I only have 5 black cards.

i'm saying that, if you want to go for a dragonstorm deck, than i understand the inclusion of dragonstorm. but if you want to go just a tribal dragon, your mana ramp should mostly consist of cards like incubator, dragonspeaker, and cloud key. what this means is that dragonstorm becomes a 9 cmc dragon tutor up, which seems a little ridiculous when with a speaker out, all your dragons cost 6 or less. though if u have a thing for dragonstorm, i understand.
as for the overgrown tomb, i axcedentally overlooked the lack of black cards. my bad.

No prob, I just feel that, when paired with Seeting Song and/or Rite of Flame, the mana is worth it for getting multiple dragons of my choice strait into play.

don't feel that harrow is better, it's more expensive and lowers your max potential for mana which, seeing as this probably won't be the fastest deck no matter how you go about it, may not be the best idea. I was unaware that it went away at the end of each step, was that just added in M11 or something? I know it goes away at the end of your turn. Soulbright can be removed, but I thought that trample with mana acceleration would be nice.

i understand your dislike of harrow. i didn't like it when i first saw it. but atleast try it out. i find it to be quite the mana fixer and axeller. and if u think about it, it is effectively one mana for an extra land. three mana, one of which is sacced, for two untapped mana. so that's effectively two mana for one extra untapped land. which is effectively one mana. think about it.

I'm not saying Harrow is bad card, in fact I've got some in my Devour deck, which isn't up yet, but I don't think I want it for this specific deck with the amount of special lands I'm running and the fact that some may come into play tapped.

Okay, szo, Braid is now effective for Bogardan Hellkite and Soulbright, which may or may not be taken out. I still feel that Dragonstorm is useful to bring out the two legendaries and, if other spells were playe that turn, any others that might be useful at the time.
