31 lands is way too many. Somewhere around 23-24 would be a safe amount. After dropping the land count I would try to increase the number of 3-drops some to help round out your curve a bit.

Mindreaver should probably be dropped from the deck. You have virtually no spells you can cast that will trigger his Heroic ability making him a plain 2/1 for 2 most of the time which isn't great.

Some other cards to consider that would be somewhat in theme:

Peel from Reality - It lets you bounce one of your opponents creatures and also bounce one of yours which you can then replay to trigger more detain effects.

Flickerwisp - Same basic idea as Peel from Reality. You get a creature and you get to blink out one of your creatures and have him come back to re-trigger Detain.

New Prahv Guildmage - 2/2 for 2 that you can eventually use to just detain something at-will

Lyev Skyknight - 3/1 flying for 3 that lets you detain. Evasion is nice and having 3 power can potentially get in a lot of damage.

Lavinia of the Tenth - If you wanted to go for a more aggressive top-end this would be a good card to replace Azor's Elocutors with. If you run ways to bounce/blink Lavinia then you can get some repeated heavy board detains which can be useful.

If you wanted to go down the route of having a lot of creatures with 'when <name> enters the battlefield' effects and ways to blink or bounce the creatures then there are a lot of options available to you in modern.

This deck looks like it won't be able to do much of anything prior to turn 5 and even then might not be able to play your spells that cost 5+ mana with only 20 lands. I feel like you need cheaper defensive options in the 2/3 mana range because as is, if your opponent gets a couple of creatures on the board you won't have much that can stop them.

20 lands is way too few for this deck especially since it's over 60 cards. I would trim down to 60 cards and pump the land count to 23 or 24. I would also consider cutting down on the creature count a bit since you have so many spells that trigger off of non-creatures.

Look into getting 4x Lightning Bolt in place of something like Shock since this is a Modern deck. You might also consider something like Young Pyromancer which gives you a solid 2 drop creature that benefits from instants/sorceries being cast.

One card mechanic that might be interesting to look into would be Rebound, which lets you get lots of extra triggers for things like Guttersnipe and Nivix Cyclops, but I'm not too sure what kind of blue/red Rebound cards there are. This is more of a "have you considered" rather than real suggestion though.

I don't think Wheel of Sun and Moon would be very helpful for this deck. The goal is to Treasure Hunt into Zombie Infestation. If you don't hit that you won't win. If you Treasure Hunt into Wheel of Sun and Moon you will most likely just die.

Because he only really cares about it being 1 dollar.

Classic fun. You can go with slightly more expensive versions which include Reliquary Tower for being able to make enough zombies on the following turn to be lethal. I also like Tomb of Urami as something to do if the Zombie plan fails.

I think Kabira Evangel is really strong as well.

I feel like running Blue in this deck probably stretches your mana base a bit too much. I would maybe consider dropping blue just to make things more consistent.

Hada Freeblade would offer you a 1-drop which would help your curve some. You might consider going up to 3 Doubling Chant since landing one when you have 2 or 3 Ally's out is pretty huge and will likely do more for you than Genesis Wave for the same mana cost.

I would say ignore the Journey into Nyx hydra's and make those 7 missing cards into lands.

You'd still need to remove Brainstorm to make it Modern.

True. I'm trying it mostly because I feel the deck needed some 2-drops. Blinking him isn't entirely worthless though since you get to look at their hand again and can pick the same card if you want. Plus I believe if you cast Tidehollow and blink it before his enter-the-battlefield effect triggers they lose the card permanently.

Without a 2-drop creature I feel it just ends up being too slow against more aggressive decks. Granted, that 2-drop doesn't need to be Tidehollow but I'm not sure what would be better.

This deck can easily be brought up to Modern or possibly Standard since the combo itself is Standard legal.

Wouldn't it require two Pentad Prism or two Training Grounds go have infinite proliferate? It's got lots of other proliferate going on so it's not a huge deal even if it's not a 3-card infinite combo, unless I'm missing something.

This combo requires two followers since the untap ability says ANOTHER target permanent.

This deck doesn't get that many artifacts out since half of them are 6+ CMC but it's certainly something to consider!
