Deck Description

A deck I made for a friend of mine.

He seems to have added cards however so now... what cards do you all believe should be removed. Though obvious some lands need to go.

Deck discussion for Caspire the friendly vampire.

you can drop a couple guul draz assassins. there are better vampire 1 drops such as vampire lacerator. also i would replace barter in blood with geth verdict or gatekeeper of malakir. adding a few more bloodghast would be good as well. if you can afford it vampire noctornus is a great card

I've forgotten how I had it set up before he added more cards but, I'd have to respectfully disagree with the guul draz assassin as it provides massive creature removal quickly and is reusable where as the lacerator becomes useless past turn 2 within my group. The bit about the barter in blood is certainly something to consider however, having barter in blood with grave pact has worked wonders. With Grave pact, geth's verdict and whatnot kills 1 creature and barter in blood will kill 4 of theirs instead. That's why this deck runs 4 bloodline keepers rather than nocturns as the tokens are great for sacking. I don't know what happend to all the bloodghasts though. Should definitely have at least 3.

the problem ive had with assassin is that it takes him till turn 3 to be useful at best. That is assuming you are willing to waste your first 3 turns to do so. Lacerator is swinging turn 2 for 2 damage or taking out something and is leaving you open to play. Another option would be pulse tracker which i forgot about on my first post. Guaranteed damage turn 2.
My problem with the gravepact, barter combo is that its so high cost. Further if you insist on running the gravepact barter combo then assassin is even more worse. You spend 5 mana just to get him up to the point that he can take out a 2/2 then you are sac it. as it plays out currently you have no real offense until turn 5 at best. if you can get it going tho thats deadly with blade of the bloodchief
In general its just a bit slow. running 13 cards at 4 or more mana is a little rough. In my play group there is enough control and or removal that you would have a hell of a time with that mana curve

Drop Grave Pact. It's really not necessary in a deck like this.
Also, Bone Splinters may be more efficient than Barter in Blood. I'd make it 2 each.
