This deck was basically inspired after the Frey Commander deck. As much as i would love to run Frey in my deck, she's not legal Modern or any really besides Commander so I instead put the Garruk's. The whole point really is to slowly power up your elves and gain lots of them, possibly with one big hit or slow but consistent attacks. The Planeswalkers Nissa help definitely with either your Lands or Elves. and Garruk helps with with over powering your enemy.
I prefer to play slowly but surely, make sure I get all my elves with Nissa Revane and power them up for the big hit. It's slow but when you pull it off it feels really accomplishing .
