I think you could be in trouble early on cause the possibility of you having creatures within the first few turns of the game are so limited. Maybe you should run midnight haunting as well to up the chances of creatures.

for sure liking the token capability with essence, i personally ran the empire trio with him but he is cool in any massive creature output deck.

best anti-sliver card is 4x Engineered Plague
