Deck Description

I wanted to play a deck that could deal well with the opponent's board why playing creatures to constantly attack. I chose Golgari because of its transitioning power into mid to late game in case I have to stall. I also like the capability of my creatures being useful after they die. In an aggro deck lack of usefulness can easily kill you, but with graveyard help, even a couple creatures can prove deadly.

How to Play

You want a starting hand that has at least 3 mana and 2 creatures. This is optimal for the aggro element that's essential for actual victory. If your hand does not have these, mullagain down to a minimum of 5 cards or until you get the requirements. Choose which creature you want to play first. Good starters are Lotleth Troll, or Slitherhead if you want a turn 1 drop. Past turn 1 i would only play slitherhead if it was 1 of my 2 starting creatures. You can start with dreg mangler as well but that usually proves to be a slower route. Next choose the second threat. This will usually be Varolz, sewer shambler, dreg mangler, or corpsejack menace. Cycle your scavenge cards into the graveyard with Lotleth or by making your opponent kill them. Try to keep the opponents field clear, prioritizing threats. As they try and stop your aggro, continue to play creatures buffed by the ones already dead. If you fall behind, gaze of granite is very useful, especially if you hold some creatures in your hand for when your scavenge goes to the grave. Slitherhead is sometimes more useful as a 1/1 counter. It's free if you have a lotleth troll and can cycle it to the grave. While having more creatures is better, a quick 1/1 can start turning the tides of the battlefield, especially when you're killing high priority creatures. Corpsejack menace is a end game card. When he drops your opponent better kill it, or those pesky aggro creatures will turn into behemoths in a jiffy. Sideboard Dark Betrayal in case you run against another black deck. If you have the money, replace killing glare with thoughtseize, and putrefy with hero's downfall. Still keep Putrefy sideboarded in case of nasty artifacts.
