Took a look at your deck you have some nice stuff going on.

First off to answer your initial question, can a burn deck have too many creatures? No i don't believe so if they are the RIGHT creatures for the deck. My burn deck is almost fifty percent creatures and have actually seen some "burn" decks with more creature makeup than that. With that said on to some suggestions on how to improve this deck.

1) Ball Lightning for Boggard Ram Gang - Same cost and almost guarenteed to do more damage to your opponent.

2) Hellspark elemental for slith firewalker, once again for the same CC I feel hellspark is gonna give you more bang for the buck and with its unearth ability it should give you some bonus return as well.

3) Take Inferno Titan out. Add more of the spells or creatures you already have. I feel the CC is way to high for this card and with most burn decks you are trying to kill your opponent most times before their is a condition for him to get into play.

4) Rift Bolt instead of Flame Javelin, its the same cost for the spell, but with rift bolts suspend effect you should be able to get them off quicker.

Hope this helps

I took a look at your deck, and there seems to be alot going on here. With that being said, what is it that you specifically like about the deck? (ie the burn cards, the weenie cards, or discard cards) because i think it would be effective if you focused in on a specific theme (which i think i see three running through the deck right now) to focus in on.

After that, some more general thoughts on R/B builds that could improve just about any black deck (and these are only if you have some money to drop) are:

1) Dark Confidants - I noticed many of the cards in your deck involve you discarding cards of your own, however i didn't notice many things to gain you additional cards. Regardless of which direction you take your deck, i feel this would be a good addition. I personally use them in just about any black deck - either duel color or mono, for this purpose.

2) Fetchlands and DuelLands - If your gonna play duel color these are a must have and definately worth the investment. For b/r look at bloodstained mire for a fetchland. This will not only help with mana color issues you may have, but will weed out land from your library for later rounds when you may need a kill card. Plus they let you get any swamp or mountain from your deck... which brings me to my next suggestion - Duel Lands. DuelLands such as badlands (or if you don't want to shell out that much cash, blood crypt) work well not only for your various mana color needs, but coupled with bloodstained mire you will be able to fetch these rather than a basic swamp and or mountain. With these cards you shouldn't need such things as you shadowblood egg, bog wretches and ravaged highland cards.

Hope this helps

hey took a look at your deck, i have a similar b/r burn deck. Some thoughts on how you can improve your deck.

1) replace forked bolt for shock, more versatility this way for same cost.

2) rift bolt instead of galvanic blast. You are playing no artifacts in your deck so the metalcraft ability with this card is useless for you. Rift Bolt you will be able to get off quicker with its suspend ability.

3) Problem everyone has with burn decks is they typically "run out of gas" around turn three or four if there is no card draw in deck. For red, its hard especially in legacy if its mono. For casual play you can look at wheel of fortune. For legacy play could look at either howling mine, or i believe its called Wheel of Fate.

Hope this helps

+1 from this guy. I have a similar deck that is B/R, as rusted stated, its hard to get cards back with red, especially in legacy format. With my deck i use dark confidants, but you could go howling mines. If its casual play a wheel of fortune would work, and if your going for legacy, i believe its called wheel of fate (same thing as wheel of fortune but you have to suspend it instead) would work to reload your hand. Also punishing fire might work for replayability as well.

also replace mind rot with hymn to tourach and the massacre wurm doesn't really fit the deck theme at all. Food for thought.

Hey saw your discard deck, i actually have something similar. I like using The Rack over Quest for the Nihil. With all the discarding going on, I find this does more damage to an opponent than trying to get the counters on quest for the nihil and pinning them at zero cards in their hand.

also in main deck, do you think i should drop ascetism for an addtional prowess of the fair? Figure CC is lower on prowess of the fair so better chance of playing it, and with the them of the deck, i can't imagine many rounds will go much further than round six or so anyways. Plus with the number of tokens this deck should produce is ascetism really necessary?

thinking of taken the eldrazi monument and akroma memorial off sideboard, as well as one other card, to make room for three sadistic sacraments. I know alot of the decks i am playing in legacy right now are combo and this is the best thing i can think of that is low CC and G/B for combo disruption. Thoughts?

Sideboard thoughts? (After alot of the changes I have made both from input on this board and the forum, the entire thing looks to be in need of a revamp!)

yah, with two skyshroud poachers and the elvish archruids, mana production and ability to fetch eleves should be covered, makes sense to take that out over the joraga, good call brotha. Its on order, will make change next week (Could of sworn i had more rhys, don't know where i put em! )

Lol here is the problem i am having. I have play sets of just about every card in the deck except for dark confidant and aceticism (have two) and lurking predators i only have one of. If you could add multiples of cards in this deck (i know you mentioned the archdruid) what do you take out to keep the deck at sixty?!? This is the problem i am having as i like just about everything i have in the deck and to add more of anything i am going over the sixty cards i want in deck. Please advise.....

that was my idea, to a mass a ton of token elves that would be built up from the elf pumpers in the deck. Then once you have the army of elves it should be easy to get more life or mana as you progress in elven ranks. Thoughts on how it can make it quicker?

I really like the pinger concept. Something else that would work with this deck even better than royal rathi combo would be sorceress queens. If your not familiar with them they are two black and a colorless 1/1 creature tap make any creature 0/2 till end of turn. Some other ideas, would be four bloodstained mires instead of graven caverns, and if you have the money upgrade the dragonskull summits to badlands and the doom blades to go for the throat. Hope this helps.

Hey took a look at your deck, not bad for your first Stompy! Personally i like your skullclamp idea and i think i might need to incorporate it into my Stompy Deck somehow.

I would take out the Kalonian Behemoths as I don't think there worth it for such a high mana cost. There are plenty of other green cards you can use with better abilities and way less to cast. Take a look at my stompy deck for some ideas!

Also have you thought about replacing infiltration lens with something like loxadon warhammer?

Food for thought.

Some ideas on how you can really speed this deck up!

1) replace vampire lacerators with Spark Elemental

2) Replace Goblin Guide with Blood Artist

3) Replace Burst Lightning with Bump in the Night

4) Perhaps add two blood lusts to deck or sidebar, can make space by taking out death's shadow

5) If you have the money invest in a couple (2-4) fetchland like bloodstained mire

Hope this helps
