Right now im adjusting it to give it as much ramp as possible. my goal is a consistant turn 4/5 commander

for a threat commander like that, i would predict 101% of the time your commander goes in play, it would not last a turn. plus with a 8-mana commander, it'll be hard to cast it the second or third time.

just some suggestions so hope it helps you think, if you're into your commander damage.
- i would replace my creatures with mana ramps abilities such like elves (titania and the like)
- i would first do your Step 3 then Step 2. so i would fetch the reliquary tower early either by sylvian scrying or expedition map and the like (or add artifacts such as spellbook). so the every time the commander comes to play, i would make sure i can kill at least one player at a time. (7 lands is enough to kill a player right i presume?)
- i'll add ancient tomb, temple of the false god such lands (or artifacts like dreamstone hedron)

7 lands is not enough to kill a player, that damage is not considered commander damage. Commander damage is only though attacks. I have been told that my comments are not helpful enough, I hope the way I worded this comment that it is helpful. I am not being rude or an ass just stating facts.

oh okay thanks for that. so then i think by that note, i think my suggestion is still a much better option for heavy damage in a single turn.

Made some adjustments based on your comments tho atm i dont have my deck with me so there are 3 cards im blanking out on. ill be dropping garuuk for Greater Good since i only use him for drawing anyway. and i know ill be grabbing a loaming shaman when i can.

Anyway i usually have no problem dealing heavy damage with lands due to the amount of cards i have that let me recycle lands. (best power play: tap all mana, play creeping renaissance, and reverb it, in response cycle decree)

ive also not had much problem casting/recasting my commander after being killed or countered (one time i had to cast him 8 times in 1 game and still won) due to the sheer amount of lands/ramp i have. I've only lost games where multiple players focused me out or someone else goes infinite out of nowhere.

momentous fall is a temporary greater good. yeah I have come to dislike infinite combo decks, it seems like every game someone in my playgroup has a deck with one built into it but I have become used to it.

also if you are planning to return all lands to your hand that were in your grave, I would say that something like spellbook would be a good option.

I just realized that I am indeed a rookie, so spellbook might not be a great option due to the fact that you will prolly just go for the win after adding all the lands to your hand.
