When one of my friends first told me about EDH he told me that you could use Nicol Bolas Legendary Creature and Nicol Bolas Planeswalker in the same deck and that they could be on the battlefield at the sametime. It took me a while to want to make an EDH deck but I always knew that I wanted Nicol Bolas as my General.Nicol Bolas is the most evil creature/planeswalker in the Multiverse, he destroys, controls and manipulates creatures and planeswalkers alike and that is my inspiration for using Nicol Bolas as my general.
As soon as an opponent casts their general gain control of it. Search for Bribery using one of the nine tutors in the deck to steal an opponents (Eldrazi, Magister Sphinx, Worldspine Wurm or Blightsteel Colossus). If all else fails cast Omniscience + Time Stretch, next turn cast Diabolic Revelation to search for five cards (Archaeomancer, Izzet Chronarch, Rune-Scarred Demon, Decree of Pain and Rise of the Dark Realms) with Rune-Scarred Demon search for Insurrection. Seven turns in a row and controlling everyone's creatures should win you the game.

I might play telepathy over the glasses and I see a flaw in the "how to play area". I just looked on gatherer and searched omniscience, it says for cards that have X in the cost X must equal 0. And don't get me wrong I would love to cheat in a 10/10 or 12/12 annihilator 4 from another player's deck but it would not be my first choice (unless it was my only good choice) because by cheating it in you lose the when cast effect. It would also make you target #1 at the table, so really all I am saying is to get ready to be hated on after you pluck an eldrazi out of an opponents deck.

Yes, I have a foil Telepathy in my shopping cart and I don't mind being the number one target. X would be 0 if you chose to play diabolic revelation without paying it's casting cost but since I usually have 10 mana I hard cast it where X is 5 or 6 and all those spells i can cast for free.
