No shit Doom Blade and Go for the Throat kills them. Go for the Throat is the solution to this deck (Doom Blade for Necropede but still). Infect is not unbeatable, even if it is good sometimes.

Mask of Avacyn, Apostle's Blessing, Faith's Shield, Stave Off, Sword of F&F, Asceticism, Ranger's Guile, Swiftfoot Boots, where are your GftT and DB now?!

On another note, aside from stuff people have already mentioned that would wipe it, I do like it. Nice job! :D

Frites. It's a pretty infamous Standard deck at this point.

Infect makes me angry. I just hate it. It is playing a wither deck where your opponent starts the game at half life. Thank goodness there is a way to beat infect now. Cheers on a good deck though. I'd love any feedback on my Lich deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=297491

It's a pretty chill deck, but it is far from unbeatable. In fact, mono black limits the power of this type of deck by quite a bit. Definitely needs green for power/ramp OR blue for some sort of control/Blighted Agents/unblockable stuff.

Also, I take it you've never run this against Solar Flare...nice title though. It definitely draws people in!

+2 Skithyrix and -2 Black Suns. With so much aggro, Black suns will probably kill more of your stuff than theirs. And Skithyrix is just a badass.

It's an idea but infect has a tendency to kinda fizzle out late game if it doesnt win early on. I agree skittles is awesome but black sun saves asses. maybe one of each main board and one of each side board depending on what your facing

Well this is ok but you need to add some cards that say proliferate. I died b/c of cards with proliferate. I like this though very much.

with no proliferation and only weak creatures you're not getting far against any worth while decks for long. turn 3 Sheoldred into turn 4 Elesh Norn. Every turn bringing out bombs and making you sac creatures. That's how my friend's frights works. And most tempered steel decks can deal 20 damage in less than 5 turns easily. There are a lot of standard decks that allow creature turnover far greater than that of infect. You at least need a Skithyrix so you can hit for at least 4 flying on turn 6. It's usually a game ender or at least turns around a bad situation.

I'm not too keen on mono black infect. I just finished up for the most part my Black Blue Artifact deck. Everything is either infect or proliferate from spells to creatures.

I prefer lots of proliferate in case you have troubles with a board wipe or something.

Let me know what you think.

I'm sure it works just fine, but really? No offense, but this far from an original idea, and infect isn't exactly hard to make successful, but, for once, I'm not going to rant about hating infect, as someone has already beaten me to the punch. ;)

I agree with Skittles over Black Sun. But also, I'd say mainboard Go for the Throat over Doom Blade, as I imagine there are more black decks than there are artifact decks out there. Or go two and two.

I run that green legendary creature with swiftfoot boots on her that just makes infect cry. It hillarious because I splash the green white dual lands in a black white deck just so I can run her agenst infect.

you must not have played a decent burn deck yet have you i own a very similar deck to this and play against some decent people i never dare take out the infect it gets burned to shit . . . dont get me wrong i love infect its the only way to beat my brothers cheater zombie deck but infect is not the way to go to beat the average good player

infect decks are very easy to beat you can say what you like but once the game hits turn 7 if you havent won you lost and its very easy to keep an infect deck at bay with basic cards from all colors except green

Agreed on that whole post, burn hurts infect. My white lock up deck could every creature this guy has down while I punish him with sum bad angels and make em wish they didn't play lock. This deck is nice but unbeatable it is not.

If you're gonna run infect you should at least run contagion engine, and a decimator web. Funny though, best infect deck I have ever seen was actually U/G.
