Deck Description

Black / Green Saproling Deck. Legacy.

Ah, Necromancied Reya Dawnbringer. What a horrible, horrible thing. Thrown to the graveyard as fast as possible with Nemata and Verdeloth through Buried Alive, Reya comes back with Necromancy or a Doomed Necromancer. And with that, the rest of it is ritual sacrificing feeding the Germination and the Spawning Pits, before coming straight back to do it all over again thanks to Reya. Pull Verdeloth back to the hand with a Raise Dead or a Guildmage, and have Reya bring Nemata back in, and we've got a standard Saproling deck, firing a little faster than usual and without the worry of running out of creatures to play with the Germination. With the exception of Verdaloth, the standard way to bring creatures in is from the Graveyard via Reya. Oddest of all is the Verdant Force, who could potentially see three simultanious turns of being dropped in the Upkeep phase for no mana cost other than two Buried Alives and a Necromancy...

If you've got the mana for it by the time Life and Limb comes into being, keep bouncing Verdeloth to and from the graveyard and your hand with the Golgaris for Kicker Saproling generation. Eventually, Coat of Arms should just about give you Critical Mass, and if not, just have Nemata sacrafice the half of them you've tapped for mana to give the other half +Death/+Death

Problems, as always with my decks, are rampant and evident. Unlike most green decks, until Life and Limb and some serious saprolings are generated its a bit behind the mana curve. Reya is an obvious lynchpin with no direct protection and no way of playing her from your hand - but hopefully the Doomed Necromancers and the Necromancys will give you eight tries before she ends up being Exiled. It also takes a while to get going - which might not be fantastic since it's hinging around you getting Buried Alive and the mana to cast it before you accidentally draw Reya...
