Haven't played a lot of the recent editions. I usually just make decks with cards I have laying around. Thanks for commenting

There isn't a need for more than one attacker each turn, as the deck nets you repeated turns. Everything in the deck is geared to draw, discard, or repopulate... there just is not a lot of room for anything else.

Obviously mana is not a concern in a deck called "Turboland". Not to mention: Buyback... hello?

Thanks for commenting though...

Land Tax is basic lands only, where Tithe can search for anything classified as a "Plains", which is both the Scrubland and the Godless Shrine

Not really, but with the combo cards in place, there isn't much else to add. I was looking at things like Tithe to thin the deck some more.

Fetid Health can be a bit more useful than Tainted Field, so I have swapped them out. Thanks! I do like both Orzhov and the Godless though, I find their utility wayyy useful. However I do keep going back and forth between the acceleration of Vampiric Tutor being only one mana, versus the "in-hand for one extra mana" of Demonic. I'll play test with both and we'll see what develops. Thanks for replying!

I'll play around with Demonic vs. Vampiric and see which suits the deck better. The life loss isn't much of a concern, however perhaps placing the card in hand is worth the extra turn delay. Or I could get lucky and be able to Dark Ritual out a Demonic Tutor and use the spare mana to drop Darkest Hour. Thanks for the comment!

Ha, I found two Gauntlets of Might in my old artifacts box and decided to throw them in and remove all but one token Raging Goblin. But it's okay, he has the best artwork (the one with the icepick). :D

Well engineered deck. I do enjoy a good offbeat theme, and haven't seen an ogre deck in a long time. As always, my concern with speed and mana production comes into play with some minor suggestions. Potentially adding in some Chrome Moxes would speed the deck up considerably, along with a Ruby Medallion or two to speed up the red side. Also, since Hidetsugu's Second Rite seems very situational, I would probably not include so many. Perhaps removing one or two of them to make room for something else would make your deck more efficient. Good luck!

Well yeah, but you can do the same thing with Fireball, but the original mana cost is one less. For each additional target on both fireball and comet, you have to pay an additional one colorless, except that Comet Storm costs two red to initially cast while fireball only costs one.

Quite different from the old stompy decks I'm used to. I like the deck though, as I see the theme of stompy hasn't changed. I'm surprised that Rancor hasn't been included though. Has it not been reprinted since Urza's Saga? I really believe that you should take a look and think about adding in 2-4 Rancor. My onlu other critque would be that the Zendikar Farguide and Marshdrinker Giant seem a little more expensive (mana cost wise) than they are worth. I really don't have any suggestions on what may be a better creature nowadays, but it was just my first thought when looking at them.

Regardless, this looks like a great deck. Happy hunting!

Comet Storm just looks like a Fireball that costs an extra mana. I originally had a couple fireballs in this deck, however I rotated them out in favor of keeping the deck quick and mana efficient, especially while including this Browbeat card, something that red burn decks have needed for quite some time; actual card generation beyond turn three lol.

As always, thank you for the comment and rating!

Trying to deck both of us was my first idea, but then a friend of mine mentioned this Abyssal Persecutor. Since I have a hard on for black, I liked the idea of building a deck to force a tie. Thanks for the comment!
